The advantage of being the DM! When I get withdrawals, I get to do some prep for the next session.
Was also thinking about prepping a one shot so that if I ever get a spare weekend evening I could organise a one off game. It’s the DM equivalent of when a player makes endless characters they’re not going to have time to use.

Can we amend the time on Monday night please? Jen is back on shifts and will be backshift so I'll be putting the kids to bed alone. 8pm ok? Are people free to stay on a little later to make up for the late start?

But yeah, fine. Happy to play 8 til 12 like you say

Happy with 8-10:30 as long as it’s a hard stop then. We’ve pretty much been doing that anyway.

Living just down the road from the wonderful town of Glastonbury, I can confirm that "Druid Juice" is actually a 3 litre bottle of high-strength cider that you drink on a bench sat between someone playing the bongos and someone wearing a top hat and bronze-effect googles.

Just saw this article on Facebook and loved this bit:
Quote:
If there is one thing we GMs love the most is when we can just shut up, lean back, and hear the players roleplaying between themselves for a while. As a player, don’t be scared to do this. There’s a high chance your GM would love it.

Bonus points because it also gives me a chance to start prepping for the next scene in the background.

Hey, nice sword knowledge! I’ve been wondering what a Falchion looks like because one of the PCs in critical role has one as his main weapon.

When Ivo gives me some allowance I think I’m going to get a bow and some arrows too. Wood elf means I’m proficient in their usage so might be good in certain situations. And we might find a magic bow at some point, eh?

Not sure... there’s a certain level where I can use spells while wild shaped so I guess it’s a possibility.
