SDG! While I'm a Bloodhound should I use these stats for this encounter? Cant find anything specific for my breed :D

Or for simplicity should I just BE a Mastiff?

Have you seen a death dog? sounds like something that roams plains and deserts.

Being an honourable Druid I cannot lie, I hath not seen one. It would be nice if we could go on a field plains and deserts trip for me to seeth one.

Hmm, mastiffs aint all that, fighting-wise. Maybe nows the time to break out the giant hyena!

Does anyone know about zombies? Do we have to destroy the brain stem? Are they runny 28 Days Later types?

Post subject:  Re: Dungeons and Dragons

They might be friendly zombies just minding their own business in the woods. Wood zombies.

@sdg

Is there benefits to me picking spells that are in my magic school? I’ve done with divination ones anyway, just want to check.

Also my character sheet is a bit confusing now. I’ve got four level 2 spells but two of them are level 2 versions of ones I have at level 1.

Post subject:  Re: Dungeons and Dragons

Pretty much all my level 1 spells have an upgraded level 2 ability of I use a level 2 slot on them rather than a level 1 slot.

Basically everything except Feather fall.

They’re brilliant!

I’ve never seen the point in buying individual dice but last night the only ones I had out were a D20 and a D6 so suddenly this looks very desirable!

The purple haze set is stunning but I don’t think I could justify spending that much :ninja:

There no harm in dogging the Zombies then changing into something else once the hitpoints are knocked to zero... I might even be a match for them :metul:

Sesh 6 recap!

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
*lots of laughing and piddling around*
Got Geoff the Smith and the cold body of Clint the Sherriffff back to Sister Wendy, who healed them up nice. Met with Sildar who told us Iarno and Glassstaffff were the same person (told you so!). Went back to the manor and scooped up a nice haul of coins. Proved to the town leader Geoff that Iarno was dead and showed the pact and his corpse as evidence. We were given the deeds to Transgender Manor as a reward! Zardoth turned into a dog and lead us into some woods where 10(?) zombies shambled out of the woods.

END OF SESH!

@sdg ! as we all had a lovely long rest, does Ivo become attuned to that staff now?

Author:  Squirt [ Wed Dec 23, 2020 12:03 ]
Post subject:  Re: Dungeons and Dragons

Ah yes, before he went to bed Ivo spent an good hour pondering over the staff, trying to recall the lore from the arcane books he has read and trying to learn it's inner secrets. He goes to bed confident he can use the staff's powers to further the cause of righteousness in the world, and help undo some of the damage it's former owner caused!

Also possibly use it to smash in the skulls of some of the undead abominations currently lurching out of the woods towards us.

The amount of ... "stuff" Ivo has at level 3 with a sturdy rod compared to level 2 without it is quite significant. The Shield spell looks as if it could be handy in a tight spot!

Post subject:  Re: Dungeons and Dragons

Whatcher get with the staff? I see it has 10 charges of "?". Do these replenish or are they consumed when used?

Author:  Squirt [ Wed Dec 23, 2020 13:12 ]
Post subject:  Re: Dungeons and Dragons

10 charges, which recharge 1d6 + 4 at dawn. I can use it to cast Mage Armour ( 1 charge ) or Shield ( 2 charges ), AND it auto-grants a +1 to my AC. Using the last charge for the day does come with a risk of it shattering ( roll a 1 on a d20 ), so there's a bit of a risk there. Also, I can use it to poke and prod and wallop people with.

Author:  Dimrill [ Wed Dec 23, 2020 13:31 ]
Post subject:  Re: Dungeons and Dragons

I suggest not letting it shatter then! And if it does shatter, try not letting it shatter. Shatter.

That was one of my favourite mental images - 3 mooks in their little room, trying to work out what's going on when a hecking bear just piles in and tears them to shreds. From zero to "Holy Fuck! A bear!" in 0.7 of a second.
