Since the feather doesn't specify a monetary value, you'll have one in your component pouch or will be able to use an arcane focus instead.

Which reminds me, you need to decide if you use a component pouch or an arcane focus. The arcane focus can be anything but if you lose it, you lose the ability to cast spells until you get a replacement or a component pouch so don't make it something loseable. A cleric might decide their arcane focus is a holy symbol they wear round their neck which they grasp when they cast a spell.

None of my spells currently need any material components, so I'm going for the purely yelling and hand-waving type of magic.

@sdg , at any point do we get a Den for Rummage Inc? Just thinking it'd be nice to have somewhere to be able to leave loot we don't want to lug around all the time where it won't get stolen.

That entirely depends on if you either save up enough gold to buy one, or if you somehow end up with one in some other way. It’s within the realms of possibility though, yes.

If we clear out this Goblin squat we could make it our den. You just need to knock us up an iron door, Erms.

Or an Iron roof for the Ox cart, could be like a Medieval Mystery Machine.

An idea! There's a ready water supply to rinse our massive balls in. We'd need a forge. And a library for you sprites. We'd need a carpenter to make a "No Girlz" sign to hang outside.

I'm sure that Geoff's Trading Supplies will sell me a pick so I can start burrowing into the nearest rockface. And yes! I'll be sitting in a den while all you are standing around in the rain with your imploring eyes and I'll be laughing. LAUGHING! In your stupid pointy eared faces.

We're not far from Neverwinter, and despite me not reading any D&D fluff, I know that's a centre of intrigue. From the PC game. *cough*

Depends what you set your character to use for upkeep. I'm modest which means I either pay 1gold per day or I can work in a smithy makin thangs which'll cover that expense as well as a nice profit of 2.5g a day.

Er, I think I might have been undervaluing myself (apart from strength)...

I took it that the lower values in the ovals where my FINAL TALLY but should I actually be adding (or subtracting) the top value, say DEX would be 15+2 = 17 for me? Hnnngnn...

Nope, you had it right. 15 Dex gives you a +2 modifier for dexy things ( hence your acrobatics being +2 )

No, but it looks like it’s based off the official guidance on parties building a base of operations. Don’t worry, if the situation arises the rule of cool will usually take precedence. Getting your own base is cool so if it works in the story, and you can afford it, it can happen.

Don’t worry though, lots of adventuring to do before you reach that.

The larger number is your attribute score. The smaller number (-1 for strength, +2 for dex) is your modifier. The modifier is a reflection of your attribute score.

Attribute scores range from 0 to 20. If your score is a 10, you are average and your modifier is +0. The modifier increase or decreases as you move away from 10. See here:

I were thunkin, if we're going to be traipsing around caves and dungeons that're likely to be in quite a bit of dark, having torch bearing wizard with us is going to give us away quite a lot. Even more than you leaf trotters skipping and going "la de da de da". Are there any spells you lot can take to make his eyes dark best?
