That's almost the exact expression Dimrill had when he was playing that part as well!

The glee on his face as he sliced up a living, breathing, sentient creature was horrifying

Also Ermintrude outed themselves as an evil dwarf not to be trusted, in their own words

What new spells are available to Myptik 'Bear Heart' The Myopic now you've hit level 4?

@Dimrill I've been doing some research and found a series of books that cover all of the monsters in the MM and other hardbacks including the adventures with specific guidance on what can be harvested from each including scavenged supplies like armour and weapons, and has a specific crafting ruleset and then magical or utility items made as a result of crafting. I'm going to switch to using it, assuming no objections?

As long as you’re making it more complicated for you and not me, I’m totally fine with it

When my brain gives out and you have to do without me for a week, you have to do it for me. If you manage to survive without my mighty balls, that is.

Gillykins, what's the difference between perception and passive perception?

Your brain won’t give out. It’s D&D.

Passive perception is used to determine if you notice something when you’re not actively looking. For example, when you were sneaking up on the orc standing guard outside the bandit hideout, your stealth was contested by his passive perception until he became alert.

Perception is when you make a check to deliberately look, for example when you’re looking to see if the guard is paying attention, or once the guard is alert he makes an active perception check. Perception has the possibility of being significantly higher than passive.

Passive perception will be noted on your character sheet...maybe 12? Perception is d20+ perception mod.

Just looking to see if Druids with the Observant feat would be better.

Quote:
• Increases your Intelligence or Wisdom by 1, to a maximum of 20.
• If you can see a creature's mouth while it is speaking a language you understand, you can interpret their words by reading their lips.
• You have a +5 bonus to your passive Wisdom (Perception) and Intelligence (Investigation) scores.

Mobile sounds good

Quote:
• Your speed increases by 10 feet.
• When you use the Dash action, difficult terrain doesn't cost extra movement on that turn.
• When you make a melee attack against a creature, you don't provoke opportunity attacks from that creature for the rest of the turn, whether you hit or not.

and for dealing with untrustworthy wizards in our party, Mage Slayer

Quote:
• When a creature within 5 feet of you casts a spell, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature.
• When you damage a creature that is concentrating on a spell, that creature has disadvantage on the saving throw it makes to maintain its concentration.
• You have advantage on saving throws against spells cast by creatures within 5 feet of you.

I took the stat boost rather than Feats, Dimmers. My movement and stealth are decent as is with my heritage and leanings.

That first feat gives you a stat boost AND the benefit of the feat.

When I'm a player I've really struggled between choosing the ASI bump or a feat. You get to choose again in a few more levels time so there are still loads of options. I usually end up going for the ASI because as a Cleric, the Wis increase is so important for attacks and saves and as a Monk, the dex increase is so important for AC and attacks but in Critical role campaign two, the Sentinel feat has been massive in quite a few of the big fights when the melee classes have chosen it.

I'm happy with my choice this time round. +2 to my main stat is nice.

It's all secondary to the fact that I can now swallow enemies.

Ahh, but Ermintrude was already at 20 strength, so they couldn't boost their main stat. Feats become a lot more appealing then!

While we're at Wyvern Tor should we be looking around for the 'Wyvern' next? Didn't the Necromancer say this is where he saw a 'Dragony type thing'?

I have my suspicions that the dragon would be in cragmaw castle or the place mr gundogs was trying to find. Because story.

Clearly Shuu and Krung have no such suspicions, as they've already forgotten any mention of said dragon. Shuu is stupid, and potatoes are not games for their memory .

And then not watching it, as it contains far too much Dave.

I enabled content sharing but I wasn’t sure it would work because the majority of my books and physical only copies. I have access to them all on DnDBeyond because my friend shared to me in another campaign. It mustn’t have shared onwards, which I thought might happen. That’s a shame!
If you need any specific info I can screenshot or photograph it. I think I have almost all of them, just got Xanathars today which just about completes the set.

Jen’s ordered a Six by Nico box for dinner tonight and we’ve had cocktails delivered from the Cocktail Geeks in Edinburgh. I had a lie in this morning and a relaxing bath earlier. I might decide I want a lockdown birthday every year!
