If you could all only interact with creepy monsters from now on, my character voices would be perfect!

May we ask what accent you were trying to hit with the Coster ladyelf?

I am quivering with excitement at the prospect of being able to play this with the kids in a couple of years.

That was good fun, thanks all!

I'm trying to work out what Ivo's accent will be - I think he might be a little bit Dr. Gogol

I'm convinced the only reason you chose the Coster as the place to interrogate your prisoner was so I had to attempt that voice again.

To be fair, it's the first time you've ever bitten someone's neck open so you were probably a bit taken aback by the mouthful of blood and your wolfy reactions to it.

I really should have given the Highlands accent to Linene, I didn't realise she would be involved in so many conversations! I think if we had a league table of character voice effectiveness, Sister Gareale and creepy monster of as yet undetermined species would be the best and Linene would be the worst, but Linene would absolutely top the league table of funniest, with maybe Klaarg coming in second.

I knew as soon as I read my notes when you said you were going there it was going to be a bit of a mess, I don't know why I don't practice them beforehand. I obviously work through my prep entirely convinced that I'm sort of expert impressionist :DD

No good or bad, they're all awesome :luv:

But yeah, we'll be going back to talk to Linene often, very often.

Maybe i should start to veer off from the American route for my baddies and give them deliberately bad accents instead so that you can't bring yourself to remove them from the campaign ;)

If we don't get mind fucked by The Mystery Monster in the chasm I'm going to mix up my Wild Shaping to include the cuddly old Brown Bear (loads of hit points and two attacks) I'm assuming they get a good perception check bonus when looking under the rocks and plants taking a glance at the fancy ants too.

Who's to say what accents sound like on the Sword Coast? I think you nailed them all :D

Clearly this Glassstaff fellow is up to no good. It is Xunt's will that we should put a halt to his evil schemes!

I think we should send Ivo off to chat with the Troubled Banshee. Sounds like an easy side quest to me.

Oooh, isn't Ivo 'brain shielded' from things like The Mystery Monster because he's a Warlock?

It was a good while before we threw dice in anger last night! Lots of story / side quest set up, trade deals falling on deaf ears and general mooching about.
Lets hope we don't all die straight away when we play next week as it seems like we're in the most dangerous place we've been!

I for one am glad that we had time to arrange this refrozen errand boy we've acquired so that they're goatse-ing the chasm. Hopefully that'll distract whatever's down there.

I suppose we better have a recap of last sesh (4):

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Rummage Inc spent a night resting at Geoff's Trading Post. Upon waking we find the lingerie mannequin had started moving again. Geoff pays us for bringing the wagon of supplies into town, and reminds us that the town Sherriff, Geoff, is missing. A halfling scivvy told us that their friend Geoffling, son of Sherriff Geoff was missing too. She'd seen a "spooky person" at the graveyard. We drive over to the Lionshield Coster and meet a strange Swedish woman. We get a reward for bringing the stolen boxes from the goblin cave. She mentions that she'd help us in getting rid of the Redbrands. We travelled to the Shrine of Luck in town and find Gundren's mate who we rescued from the cave talking to a Highland Witchy Personage. She outlines a problem with a banshee she was having and told us the Redbrands are based around the ruined manor on the edge of town. Ivo chucks a coin into the luck shrine and gets an inspiration award!

Gundren's mate pays us for rescuing him and outlines that Gundren and his Bros had found Wave Echo Cave which was Important In The Olde Tymes. Says to take care of the Redbrands Toot Sweet. We take the witchy type to the graveyard and recover five red cloaks from the people we killed last night and see evidence of grave robbing(?). We back out and go to the Inn and get into a confrontation with another group of Redbrands. Three are killed and another one surrenders with a wolfdruid attached to his neck. We tie him up and an errand boy casts a minor illusion to make people believe we're carrying a barrel back to the Lionshield Coster. Swedish woman allows us into her secret space. After that we go into her secret armour/weapon stash cupboard and interrogate the Redbrand. He mentions a trap, and "eye monster" in a chasm, and a secret entrance to the Redbrand den in the woods. We gag him and leave him in the cupboard.

Off to the forest and Zardoth turns into an ickle spider and scouts the cave entrance. Finds a large cavern with a chasm! The rest of the party tiptoes up to the left side of the chasm and a creepy voice talks to We in We's heads. End of sesh. Clanger!

Did I miss anything?

Caltrops and a big wooden stick were bought. We were shown a list of warez at the Swedish shop and gasped at the prices. Many ears were not sold a lot of times. Chains were.

It's like you're all resistant to building up a massive pile of pretty dice or sumink. Weirdos.

I love the dice sets you're sharing! Those skull ones are fantastic. You can buy healing potion dice sets, that are in a healing potion looking container and contain exactly the right amount of dice for the potion. So if it's a greater healing, it contains 4 d4 since a greater healing potion does 4d4+4.

Laura Bailey, one of the players on Critical Role, collects dice. She's also in charge of the merch so Critical Role came out with a dice bag of hoarding. When she plays, she always has a dice jail on the table and if one of the dice gives a couple of poor rolls, it goes into jail. She's stressed out on air before because too many of her dice are in jail and she doesn't have any left to roll. :DD
