This is by Aisha Tyler, who plays Lana, reacting to criticism that she hosted Ubisoft's E3 conference:

Nice post - I do think some of this is coming back to the way that 'gamer girls' have been shown in the past (have a look on youtube for a thing by Chloe Dykstra where she asks some pretty basic game questions to some booth babes who get every single one wrong)

Zardoz is older than Father Time himself. he was the beginning and will be the end. The Alpha and the Omega. And we are his children.

How old do I look? :luv:

Bear in mind I could read at the age of 12.

I do remember playing a pong clone at my uncles house which would have been around 1976 / 1977 (the home version came out in the states in 1975) which I think may well be before you could read.

I suppose it depends on your definitions of gamer (playing video games?) and reading (I read comics from around the time I started school which would have been age 5)

** Edit **

This is the first pong game i remember playing - it did not even keep score itself you had to move the marble yourself to the next hole :

New series starts in the US tonight!

There hasn't been enough talk about this - for people that haven't watched it yet, Archer is fantastic. I uploaded the first episode for you a while back, and if you didn't watch it during your lunch break or something you're a dick. Fix that now: http://www.fullonrobotchubby.co.uk/rand ... S01E01.avi

I was reading before she could game. Actually I was reading before anyone could game but I am still younger than Cavey.

I also have no idea who she is. I will watch Archer.

Archer is on netflix, I watched a couple of episodes. Archer is a dick, and not at all funny.

Archer is a dick. That's why it's funny.

I want to like it, because I love animated TV shows. But the humour is a bit 'internet meme'. Lots of 'wait, what?'-level punchlines.

The latest series started off worryingly average, but it's great again, especially the Mexican episode:

Having subscribed to Netflix over Christmas we blasted through the whole thing and finished just in time for the new season to start! We'd always watched Bob's Burgers so it's still a bit jarring hearing Bob's voice come out of Archer's mouth.

Amusingly, when they did the cross-over episode, Mrs B paused it right at the start while I was out of the room so I could see what we thought was the single fleeting reference of the outside of Bob's Burgers. We chuckled at that; then unpaused it and boggled in shock at the next few scenes!

I started Bob's Burgers after watching Archer, and had the same, but backward.

Cheryl from Archer is the gym teacher in the new Carrie film. It is most jarring.

Oh fuck me, and Hitgirl is Carrie. She looks like she's had lip implants.

Why doesn't Hitgirl just use her Kung Fu?

Oh man, as if "that bit" at the prom wasn't heartbreaking enough, they found a way to make it worse.

This is a surprisingly good remake!
