got it lastnight, will play some later - most of what I have seen in reviews is positive, plus the co-op stuff looks fun.

The first Portal game made me feel really queasy/motion sick - is this likely to do the same, do you think? Every time I looked over a ledge or through a whole, or fell through a portal I felt like I was going to be ill, so I only got about five minutes into it and couldn't bare to watch anyone else play, though everyone said it was wonderful.

If this doesn't have the same effect I will keep an eye out in six months time as hopefully there will be pre-owened copies a-plenty in Gamestation, as everyone seems to be buying it :DD

It's still incredibly mind-bending (arguably more so), so I'd probably stay away, sadly. :(

No problem - was worth asking as everyone seems to enjoy it so very much :)

I got sick on the first, and just as much on the second. It only affects me after about an hour though...

Indeed, it seems from the videos there'll be even more flinging and twisting around in the air.

I have to concur... if you couldn't get on with the first, you won't with this either unfortunately.

Finally finished the single player game today, a combination of motion sickness and toothache has stopped me playing for long periods.

As everyone has said, just great. I was only stuck once though

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
right at the end with the blue gel and force field reverse switch to get the gel onto the turrets

it was pretty easy other than that, which to be honest I didn't mind. I generally play games to see what's next and for the story/experience, so replaying the same bits over and over doesn't really do anything for me and overly difficult games get turned off and put to the bottom of the pile.

I was expecting some sort of unlock at the end though, maybe some advance levels or the ability to choose rooms to replay? Seems not to be the case though

Completed it this very evening and it's awesome!

I'm looking forward to playing through it again to pick up the bits I missed.

I managed to finish the single-player at the weekend and even had time to go back through and hoover up all the single-player achievements - there's some good ones there.

Maybe one day, in the far distant future, hopefully before my old hands are too withered to hold the controller, Sony will switch the fucking PSN back on and I can play it online? Or, heaven forbid, even claim my Steam copy and play it on my PC?

Is it possible to buy the steam version then later play on the ps3, or is it only a ps3 to steam option?

No, only PS3 to Steam, not the other way around.

Basically, the PS3 version has a Steam client built into it - pressing Select takes you into it. You need to sync your PSN and Steam accounts together, then Portal 2 becomes downloadable in the PC Steam client. Inside the box for the PS3 game is an activation code which you have to enter into PC Steam in order to activate it.

Of course, with PSN being down, it isn't possible to sync your accounts, so the whole thing is a no go right now.

Just finished the single player game. Pure class.

Been avoiding this thread like the plague until now :D

Need a Bezzie for co-op at some point (360)

Hope Valve give us some DLC for this while we wait for the next Half-life.

There's a free DLC pack on the way already. I've already finished co-op, but more than happy to play it again once I get my copy back from Droman.

It's well annoying playing co-op with someone who has done it before (Ramsea is a cunt) and he'd only done the first couple of levels.

So the question is, is Myp less of an annoying twat than Ramsea.....?

I don't think he's finished it yet, as he was telling me this morning about a bit he got stuck on last night. Don't wait for me if you get a better offer in the meantime.

Game of the Year. Or if something is better, I look forward to it.

Want to do some co-op shenanigans (EggBox 360) but can only do it tonight past 8pm or tomorrow before I have to leave my FunSquare behind for a couple of months. Anyone up for it?

You don't want to play with me.

You don't really want to play with someone who knows the solutions. Because then it's not a cooperative game.
