Exactly. Once all records have been deleted, the database can be declared fixed and should run nice and smoothly too.

In Tenerife there was a computer shop called PC City, that had a logo exactly like PC World's previous logo, except with CITY instead of WORLD. I wondered whether they were part of the same group, or just some Spanish/Canarian chancers ripping off the logo ;)

They are part of the same group, or at least they used to be a few years back. Dixons Group used to have the 4 main shops here (Dixons, PC World, The Link, Currys) and 4 main different shops in Europe, PC City being one of them.

I really hate shit attactions like that. It's partly because some wazzock thought that it really would be enjoyable for the teeny-tinies, or alternatively that some shyster knows it's crap but hope that parents won't demand their money back once they're inside the place.

Fans of the Thursday night showings of Top of the Pops from 1976 on BBC 4 (except the one week in four where they show The Sky At Night) will be pleased to hear that from next week the late night repeat will be unedited.

The original recordings are 40 minutes but they had been editing them to 30 minute slots.

And I also hear whispers The Hand Of Fear is to be repeated on BBC 4 next week (Classic Who story and Lis Sladen's last).

Three times now I have tried to wish Zardoz a happy Birthday and post him a cake picture. Three times I have opened Google, typed Zardoz cake into the search bar then clicked images (try it, I dare you). Three times Firefox has crashed on me. I can't say as I blame it when you see what the results bring up though...

Anyway, hope you had a great one Zardoz. :)

Heh. Watching Don't Tell the Bride (shut up) the other week, the groom took delivery of two left shoes the day before the wedding.

I was annoyed that we had to collect them a whole week before, until stories of this nature were referred to.

The semi-regular internet whisperings that Thatcher is nearing her end is in full swing again. I don't want her to die as I am a little nervous of how embarrassed I am going to feel at people's reaction towards it. The reaction of many Americans to hearing of Osama's death made me feel embarrassed. Knowing there are people queuing up to have street parties to celebrate the death of Thatcher makes me feel terrible in the same way.

I won't rejoice in her dying.

I did rejoice when she was finally ousted from No. 10.

Yeah, there's a massive difference between those two thing. I'm certainly no supporter of Thatcher's politics, but to actively look forward to the death of someone just doesn't sit well with me. That's not the problem I have with it though - it's the idea of a mass celebratory thing that gets to me.

It seems odd that people are happy at the idea of Thatcher dying when the Falklands was justifiable and very successful and yet Blair sent us to illegal wars with our troops still out there.....

No-one at my second primary school would ever drink the milk. Especially the girls. I used to love the little bottles and the skinny blue straws that took you ages to drink with.

Hasn't this been debunked? Although she was the minister in charge she'd argued in private to preserve free milk but was overruled by Ted Heath.

I met Timmy Mallett when I was little. He was genuinely lovely and loads of fun.

I'd like to have Lenny Henry banned from TV. Even in adverts.

She was at university at the time, but I suspect she was still a fair few junctions from "hot".
