I've assembled the two planters we bought yesterday, and measured them up.

I need 400 litres of dirt, now.

Err on the sparse side. It's very easy to overplant containers.

Ooh, Christ. Stay away from that one!

Actually, isn't it advisable not to shag have relationships with people you work with? I suppose if you're in different departments n that it's not so bad....Meh, what do I know.

Fuck it, might as well try, eh?

Like SA said; if there is a chance, then the fact that they work closely together might lead them into competition, hahaha I can dream.

Don't let 7 year olds on the board, I'm about to do a swears! Thusly:

I fucked up massively at work yesterday. I was supposed to send some files down to 5 stores that are moving between companies in order that all the credit cards dial the correct bank. I sent down the wrong files and the money all went into the wrong account.

Had to spend most of my day off today sorting it out and thinking how ace this'll look to the new bosses.

I've just plugged my site on facebook and twitter but I'm not very good at self promotion.

Are there better ways to reach more people without any money to spend on actual proper advertising?

Put it in your signature. I once had that "you have been eaten by a zombie" game in my sigs but with the link changed to "NSFW boobies image dump". I got 10k kills in a week then it broke my game.

You know how when you drive through a city for the first time and the junctions are all a bit confusing and sometimes you do something a bit silly and end up stranded out in the middle of a crossroads and maybe people get a bit frustrated and things get a little heated?

Imagine if everyone that's driving through is driving through for the first time.

The roads around the Royal Liverpool Hospital have been under construction for a few months whilst the traffic has been diverted down side roads and residential streets. This morning, the main roads were reopened and the diversions were blocked off. CHAOS. It took me 25 minutes to drive from home to town and another 30 minutes to get from the hospital to work, a distance of about half a mile.

Is this what it's like in that London?

I've just had an idea. Why don't we use the news ticker on the forum to scroll through the various external links we have? We could have the mobile site on there, Uptojump :D and the BEEX picture archive.

I'm currently getting an ad on sinister Facebook which reads 'Think you know Oxford?'. The accompanying image is of a jet pulling a waterskier - I'm not sure the Isis is wide enough for that, or if the other river users would approve.

I agree with Chinny.
Generic cheap spuds in the supermarket are "forced" - i.e. they are watered very heavily and continuously to ensure a good size and thin skin. I know this because I live next to an enormous potato farm which supplies Tesco.

This also makes them taste of not much apart from water.

You don't need a lot of space or time to make a large crop of spuds and onions, interesting varieties of them, enough for most of the winter, and you're far more like to use them carefully in decent recipes, and not waste them.

The "grow saffron" guy sounds like a snobbish smug git. Sure, grow it. Don't not grow basic foods as well though.

How deep does the soil need to be to grow decent sized spuds? I have some space now the shed's gone.
