Dear Christ.
Can't you just move them to another folder?

I sort-of do the "Urgent / Archived / Hold" zero-inbox technique.

Good work! How did the stabby-stabby go?

You're at Guys and St Thomas, I take it?

Nah, I'm at St George's. The stabby-stab went well, had to do it old school and do it with a needle and syringe.

I don't personally have a plastic arm but there are a couple of plastic arms at my uni for students to practice blood taking and cannulation on.

Edit: Odd note but does anyone have some smart looking comfy shoes they'd recommend? I thought mine were and then I spent an afternoon on a ward ¬_¬

DMs? The shoe version, not the boots (and with black stitchings). I love mine - really comfy and look sharp, when I remember to polish them.

Just sat through a rather cringe-inducing episode of the Archers where Camilla had a few lines (no, she didn't get up onto the roof). It occurred to me that it was the first time I'd actually heard her speak, and then reminded me of this old Eclectech song.

Hmm, I'd recommend some nice loafers from Jones the bootmakers, or some classic Campers, which look a little like bowling shoes, but they are the most comfortable thing you'll wear if you're on your feet all day.

Not cheap, but I defy you to find a more comfortable shoe

[edit] Pelotas is my shoe of choice

My current company is being taken over apart from a small part which will continue to run with the current directors as staff.

I was offered a job there but turned it down due to the stress of working under a load of people who don't really know what they're doing and the fact that the smaller company is probably going to be sold off in even smaller chunks over the next six months.

Instead the taking over company will look to make me redundant possibly within two weeks, possibly within six months. But I'd get redundancy pay at the end of it.

Tell me I made the right decision please.

The Beex database has wandered over the 1GB line without me noticing - it's now 1.16GB.

And 3.13GB of attachments :S

You know you didn't want to work for the other lot - so all that would have happened is that you'd be in the same situation in a few months time, with a probably more confusing redundancy situation. You did the right thing.

A fair way yet.
I've disabled a couple of the more database-intensive things (like listing recent posts in the profile), and fiddled with a few bits, so you might notice a small speed increase.

It's quite alot faster actually.

What would be nice is if we all gave Grim.. some money towards the server fund.

Just £2 a month can prevent our mods holding up newsagents so they can steal "jazz" mags.*

Have we a contingency plan for a Titler revival scenario? It could double our storage requirements within hours.

Ahead of me lies 18.2 miles and 3,300 feet of climbing on the bike. Taking in Lantern Pike and Kinder Reservoir, via New Allotments. I reckon about four hours. I won't need sunglasses as it is foggy and damp, but how tricky can the Prak Disyrict in February be, eh? Preparation for this has included having two cups of tea and a hearty breakfast. Good news is, I'm never more than 4,000m from a phone, or houses as I refuse to call The North 'civilisation'.

Getting a little nervous, to be honest.

That's impressive, the GT4OC forum (also phpBB 3) has been running since 2003 and the database is only twice the size of ours and has 8GB of attachments.

At this rate, we'll have taken over the Internet by 2050 ;)

My great-great-great-grandfather was a Nazi Hunter. Sadly, he died in 1911, so he never made a very good living at it.

Well, my trip to Barrow was interesting..

Just looks I have wasted a year on a solution... I had calmed down by the time I had got back to Telford (4 hour drive alter)...
