Oh Dear. Even my mother, who if cut in half would have "middle class" running right through to her very soul, no longer shops at M&S. The quality has hit rock bottom, the selection is shocking and as my mother said the new autograph designs are "appalling". We have a primark next to M&S and when I went in in the summer I got genuinely confused for a second as to which store I had walked in to, then I realised that it was M&S because Primark had a much bigger selection of identical stuff and more at half the price.

Signs that a brand has gone to shit #1. you get owned by primark

Anyone want two tickets to see Ben Folds in Dublin on Sat Feb 19th? I think I have to cancel my trip for medical reasons.

I know what you mean, but on the upside they're only about six quid a pair.

I've an awkward problem with jeans, though. A 34" leg drags on the floor and gets torn to shit, yet a 32" feels too short when I sit down. I've never seen a 33" to see if that fixes the annoyance. But at six quid a pair I'll just go with having them torn and replacing them regularly.

Sizes are a pain. I'm a 36 regular (which is what, 32 leg?) but for some reason, this is a unknown combination in many shops. I usually have to get 36 long and look forward to the inevitable frayed backs.

If I didn't have this stag night to attend (still no details on this at all, despite my sending the bloke £82 quid), I'd jump at this.

I'd recommend people go.

It seems I'm persona non grata with one of my chums from the old country since he got married. I probably shouldn't have ignored his wife when she was very, very drunk and wanted to play the 'Who am I?' game in a pub well over a year ago, when him, me, another chum, and mrsA were trying to chat about other things. Hey ho.

One of the pairs of jeans were 36 waist and fit great. The others were far too tight and I needed a 38 for comfort. Both were Lee.

I've just had to interview a bloke for the position we're currently recruiting for, who admitted (in full view of a group of geeky gamers and programmers) that he was involved in the production of Rise of the Robots.

Whoops.

I have seen Mister Folds on many occasions (mostly when he was still with his 'Five', and he does put on a jolly good show.

But I cannot go.

I wasn't at that end of the table so was sadly oblivious to how inebriated our dear MaliA was. I did laugh the following day when I discovered he'd been drinking in rounds with you Grim...

Fleetwood Beer festival tonight.

Can't* drink too much as I've loads of stuff to do tomorrow and the Mrs doesn't want me to be too smashed incase she starts labour (as in birth, Cavey) tonight.

*Well I shouldn't but I am afeared of my true self taking over after a couple of glasses of horse shit scrumpy.

Compo and Picard open their eyes. They look around and are assaulted with the sights and sounds of Hong Kong on market day.

I'm more concerned with waking up to the sights and sounds of the delivery suite to be honest.

Hong Kong market would be awesome.

March 12. But it's going to happen before then according to the midwives. The Mrs feels like she's about to start, and has done for the last week.

I keep saying it's going to be on the 14th and we should call him Valentino.

Mrs Z doesn't like that though.
