"Hello, hello? Is this BETEO? Watch my fucking show, or I'll kill your loved ones. Thanks."

Oooh. Oooh. Ooooh!

This is really good! :DD

I picked this series up off the library shelves a few days ago, the premise seemed intriguing. There's a secret motel key, and whatever door you use it on leads you to this deserted, low rent motel room somewhere far away. People are killing people for this secret key, and one day a down to earth amiable detective finds it on a corpse.

And the most amazing adventure begins.

I don't want to say any more, but it offers up something that is almost a modern metaphysical fairytale thriller - and it contains so far a fair bit more than that opening hook I fed you. I've only watched the first episode, and there's only six so unlike Lost for example it's keeping it tight and fast, with questions answered quick and new ones popping up just as fast. It's really focused, not sprawling at all, and the actors are a fine bunch. Especially the lead Peter Krause, who seems to be the long lost twin of Nathan Fillion.

I demand that you all watch this, as it is incredibly excellent. It's a modern Twilight Zone tale and unfolds just as fast as the Rod Serling classics.

So far - 5/5 from me.

Tchaw, shame Runcle.

I have just heard that its ending isn't that great though due to Sci-fi, surprise!, cancelling it in favour of the shite Flash Gordon remake. I don't mind about this warning though, I'm enjoying it.

Yeah, it's not quite as amazing as Twilight Zone, but then what is? I only wish they didn't sell the DVD boxsets of Twilight Zone for so much stupid money. :(

yeah I bought the first one on release and was pretty gutted when play.com chopped off a fair whack after a month or so.
Its a bit crazy how many classic films have been made off the storylines though, I think 'The Monsters are Due on Maple Street' is my favourite and one of my favourite storylines ever.

Ah, cheers for the reminder Pete, I did mean to watch this.

I adore The Twilight Zone. Hardly ever seen it, but it's quite possibly the perfect TV show for me. Most frustrating.

Just finished watching it. Enjoyed almost all of it. I do recommend it lots, overall.

By the end I was imagining a Lost Room game in a GTA style. With less combat (more of the exploration and meeting people etc.), I think it would have been supoib.

As was The Lost Room itself, really. Flawed all over the shop, but still one of the best things in years. Thanks for the nod, Mr. Pete.

HMV have SOME at reasonable prices.

http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDet ... sku=473925

Season3, 6 DVD for £27.99

and the colour Series 3 for £15.99

Pretty reasonable prices, but the other box sets are top price.

Also The Lost Room looks pretty good, once I've finished Dead Like Me (I can only cope with one tv series at a time) I think I'll give it a shot.

It's worth mentioning that this isn't like The Twilight Zone at all really.

It's like one of the rare Outer Limits episodes where the main character figures out what's going on. (I like those episodes.)
