I'd say ebay, but back in the day when I sold games I regularly took the boards out of SNES games in order to give the casing a good clean. Obviously you have to be a bit careful, but none of the games came off the worse for it, they all worked fine. I'd just swap it around if you're so inclined.

It's also weirdly satisfying buying a horrible filthy cartridge and make it look nice and new just by cleaning it... but perhaps that's just me :)

I think that, like the Genesis/MD, the SNES/SF just had different shaped slots, so in theory you could physically modify the console (or the cart) so it'll fit. Or poke around on ebay for an adaptor. Have you read the hardware faqs on GameFAQs?

Man, just have the slot widened. I used to think this would have "moustache on the Mona Lisa" consequences too, but after playing hours and hours of NTSC-U Yoshi's Island and R-Type III for less than a fiver, I honestly couldn't give a shite any more.

(Another huge 'THANK YOU' to AndyB for modding my SNES and adding a tasty 60hz switch!)

I really need to get round to putting my random bits of hardware on my site - it's just a case of getting round to it. If you want to make me an offer on one of these then feel free!

Don't ask me what the one in the bottom left does 'cos I've no idea.

I had one of those (are you sure you didn't buy it from me, in fact?), it's basically a universal adaptor, but a very strange one. One part goes in the console with the game you want to convert, and part b is attached to a game of the region your system is, I think.

Damned if I can remember - I'm not even sure why I've got so many when I've only got maybe one or two for the Mega Drive.

I have a Games Master; such a robust piece of kit (touch wood). I remember Super Play would bang on about it not being as universal as later adaptors, but I distinctly recall it played my US version of Super Street Fighter II perfectly.

Well, as perfectly as one would expect, given hardware limitations.
