Sounds likely, there's probably also a certain amount of warm floor nice so leave it on all the time.

It’s done… and so am I…

Ping pong table was CHEAP for the bloody size of it (stopgap till pool table comes in March).

New dartboard is lush, matching surround is gangsta.

Made a rolling wood crate and coffee table with storage from off cuts too.

Knackered.

Incredible work. Merry Christmas to you, Z!

(PS: you need some cardboard hanging packets of peanuts and scampi fries before it’s truly complete).

It looks so cosy! I managed to 'see' the dartboard upstairs and get worried about the gap placement, but on further study, no problem. Phew.

Incredible work zardoz!

We returned home after a couple days away over Hogmanay to a very smelly kitchen, cats initially blamed but then...

Did I mention the odour that we thought was a dead mouse that the cats had brought in?

Turns out it was a rat in the loft and I have no idea how it got in, but I suspect neither did it, and it couldn’t escape.
No photos as I was trying hard enough not to make eye contact.

I spotted a mouse sneak out in the holiday apartment I stayed in last month. I took a video the next time I spotted it, ready to tell the management but then decided to leave it alone. No pong from the live ones.

Sorry for late reply, Mimi! Current contents include a handful of ping pong balls that haven’t been chewed by Ziggy, a dart ‘checkout’card and some biscuits.

Do the biscuits rest on top of the ears or is it split into compartments?

So it’s a huge storage box? That’s brilliant. You can put blankets and all sorts of stuff in there if it’s not built out if a storage necessity. It looks ace. It’s an smacking achievement.

There’s a snag though, we need another table to put stuff that’s on the table on when we need to open the table lid.

We’ve decided to get the floor tiled before the pool table comes in March, even with the light use so far the paint isn’t wearing well.

One job that’s defo going to be done by a pro as we’ve gone for 600x1200 whoppers and if I messed up attempting it myself Mrs Z would put me in the coffee table. Again.

That's why the mud room leaks! Now I need to work out how to fix it.

Flashing is usually embedded into the wall in some way, either in a gap between bricks or under tiles. Yours appears to use the "lean it against a rendered wall method"

This sounds like a "You problem" and not a 'Me problem".

Sikaflex 221

Squirt it along the top of the flashing like a bead of silicone then stick it on.

Make sure you warm the tube up on a radiator first so it flows out a bit easier, don't get it on your skin.

Not sure if the forum will put these pictures in the right order but... My washing machine was making some odd noises so I took a look and saw that the shock absorber had sheared away from the base.

A quick think later and I came up with the idea to bolt it back in with a strip of MDF. The bolts cost me a couple of quid but that's much better than a couple of hundred on a new machine. Hopefully I can squeeze a few more years out of this one.
