My bath re-sealing went OK, if anyone cares ;) bit of a blob in one corner where there was quite a lot to fill and I got carried away but apart from that it's mostly smooth and even. Here's a terrible / boring photo: https://www.instagram.com/p/BdyOEqahGUf/

Thanks Jazzy :D It's made a surprising amount of difference to the bathroom, actually (well, that and a good clean :DD )

Super work, Jem!

Can I ask what the round thing is? At first I thought it was a bar of soap, but now it looks like a button. Do you have some kind of ‘fun’ button on your bath? Lights, bubbles....

Yup, one of the biggest and best things you can do is a deep clean. Good work, especially when I know you are so busy already. :)

We have a spa bath thing - it was in when I bought the place. I have used it once in 6.5 years :DD

I'm trying to persuade my wife to do this and I told her 2 weeks! Is 4 weeks a standard time for this or do you have other works going on as well?

4 quotes had timescales of 3-4 weeks. Week 1 is structural building work, week 2 is plastering and running services, week 3 is interior decorating and week 4 is fitting kitchen.

How much have you been quoted for it, dude? If we manage to get into this new house Jem's gonna be looking to do some wall smashing and kitchen refitting etc.

There will be a gap while you wait for the plaster to dry, but after that it only takes a couple of days to do the decorating and again to fit the kitchen (depending on type).

Ah ok, the wall I would remove is plasterboard and none structural, the floor will need to taken out in the kitchen and redone as the levels are all over the place.

Had forgotten about plaster drying so I will revise my estimate to 4 weeks to be safe.

How are you planning to cook for the next month?

They are cracking on well. Apparently, due to the poor weather they got all their guys in to remove everything so it was done really quickly. Bit odd, my being 70 miles away, with MrsA taking communications, but there we are.

That was someone else's picture of a picture texted to MrsA and then she texted it to me, and I emailed it to my father, then downloaded it from my sent mail folder to upload it here.

I enjoyed that article a lot.

I'd never read that site before.

So I was disappointed to discover that it ceased operations yesterday.

Very creepy how you're taking pictures of them in the mirror.
