It was good to see some of the old wrasslers return, and I really enjoyed seeing Heath Slater getting beating after beating (I've never hated the guy, if anything I've been starting to like him recently), but overall I found the 1000th episode of Raw a little underwhelming and unfulfilling.

Slater is the best heel they've got. Nothing is more satisfying than watching him get his ass-kicked. Will the WWE take advantage of this? Of course not.

As much as I hope Jerry gets better, the WWE could take this chance to freshen up it's commentary. Regal and Arn Anderson are both good choices, as would be Paul E. There is another choice, the hottest free agent in pro-wrestling today... Big Poppa Pump himself, Scott Steiner! Instant ratings!

Unfortunately Punk hit the wrong guy this time, but next time he goes into a crowd I bet everyone keeps their distance, and is nice and respectful.

CM Punk was in the crowd talking to Vince. A fan reached over to slap him on the back, and CM Punk got confused and nailed a guy behind him (not the the guy that touched him).

Apparently a guy was hassling Punk, punched him in the kidneys, and then legged it. Punk swung round to hit him, but missed and nailed the wrong chap.

Original assailant was bragging about it on Twitter.

Raw was pretty entertaining this week. Punk was on form with the mic, and there was a couple of really good matches.

Obviously still best watched with the fast forward button to hand, but they're starting to ramp up towards the Rumble and Wrestlemania.
