June is the first month that I haven't bought a game apart from Duke Nukem forever (but that went back so it doesn't count).

Last month I bought...

Splatterhouse £11.56
Bulletstorm £18.85
Kirbys Epic Yarn £19.99
Sin & Punishment: Successor of the Skies £15.00

Which brings my total this year too..... £252.13.

Oh.. hang on, I've agreed to buy Heavy Rain earlier too. I'll add that when it comes.

I'm under my budget for the rest of the year thanks to the £5.99 Lovefilm sub.

Total game expenditure for 2011 so far...

Zero.

Edit: Ah no. I bought a copy of Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 (XBOX1 Version) but it doesn't work on the 360. So... that doesn't count, right?

Thus far I have bought the map pack for CODBLOPS, and a ton of iOS games. I shall add them up soon.

I voted £200ish tops, and have already overshot by 50%. I would say though, that the Rock Band 3 pro guitar controller is very shiny :D

I think the iPod Touch is the best thing I've bought. Since I picked it up I've barely spent anything on games, and I think the only time the 360 gets switched on is to watch DVDs.
What have I become? Where did this black polo neck come from? WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME?!

I'll have to tot my spending up as buying a Kinect and three games will probably make my £200-£300 guess for the year a little unlikely.

Yesterday I bought Bejeweled 2 for 400 points, simply to save me playing it from disc... lazy sod that I am. And I bought Bejeweled Blitz for 200 too.

I have spend 200 points on Peggle Nights. I have no idea what that equates to in 'real' money, nor do I care. :P

Around £1.70 if you didn't buy the points as any sort of special offer.

I've been updating my first post on the thread and after a few ebay purchases and some cheap points i'm up to £111.56

I'm trying not to buy more games till I've played the ones I've got, but Cash Converter's pricing of Wii games always seems to tempt me. I've just picked up used copies of Metroid Prime 3:Corruption, Conduit, Alien Syndrome and Far Cry Vengeance for a total of £11. I just need the time to play them now.

My total game expenditure for 2011 - 800 points on a Halo map pack, after which I got 400 points back, so... 400 points.

I am off the mark!

£4.00 for Fable 2 off WTB (+34p fee because I have a credit card tied to my Paypal account instead of a bank account), and I have now spent the grand amount of £4.34 on games in 2011.

My original guess was £50-£100.

My original estimate was £400-£600 for games this year but I've gone over by a small margin. So far, I've spent £749.88 on games.

The most expensive being Gears 3 (£99.99) and Batman Arkham City (£59.86). I've bought 39 games this year but only 6 of them were over £20.

I owe a lot to LewieP on that front I reckon.

I've spent an extra £220.19 on extras too which is mainly Microsoft points but that does include a 3DS for £120.

I guess you could say it's been a big year for games.

I've completely lost track of my expenditure this year. I think it's mainly down to not buying any full-price releases and just picking up Steam bargains and tat on Ebay. Probably gone way over the £200-300 option I voted for though. Looking at the stuff I've bought on Steam so far, I've not even installed most of them yet, let alone played them.

The end of the year is fast approaching and with it, the conclusion to my gaming spend of 2011.

My grand total is £925.98 over 50 games. I've spent an average of £18.51 on games but that does include 20 free 3DS games so I'm sure you'll agree, I'm a savy gamer. Don't forget though, that includes £99.99 on Gears 3 and £65 on the Arkham City special edition.

On peripherals I've spent £235.16 and that includes my 3DS and Microsoft points.

Who would have thought that I would have found that many games to buy? Now.. if only I had the time to play them.

I thought I would spend £400-£600 which looks like it was a little conserative but I did accurately predict I'd buy a 3DS in my original post.. which I did.. and I'm glad!

I was also right in saying I rarely buy full price games. Only 4 of my purchases have been "full price".

I didn't dare keep track of my spending, but I bought a lot less than I normally do (Arkham City was my only pre-order, I think).

I am well up for keeping an eye on things in 2012.

I've kept track of everything (as you can tell) as I've set up a spreadsheet and keep all the receipts for my games in their boxes.

My spreadsheet contains every game I currently own (Well, I say everything.. I found my 3DO and MegaCD collection the other day in my mom and dads loft which isn't on my spreadsheet but I plan on updating that in the new year)

I've also managed to find a load of PSone game receipts that I've kept. The earliest entry on my spreadsheet being on the 2/10/1995 where I spent £38.97 on NBA Jam T.E.

I bought: Forza 4, Gears 3 at full price, and a broken Kinect, and a Live sub and some points, so I make that about £130 for the year.
At least I didn't have to replace the xbox!

I've stuck well within my £100 - £200 budget.

Thats thanks to:
Having less time to play.
Only choosing games I really want rather than taking gambles.
Taking out the £5.99 per month LoveFilm sub.

Still have Dark Souls to finish and Skyrim* to start so that should take me well into 2012

*Christmas present.

So, my running total from back in June was £241.29. I estimated I'd spend between £400-600 at the beginning of the year, according to this poll.

Looking back through my order confirmation emails, Steam purchase history, iTunes and Zune receipts, it appears that I have spent a further £518.59, giving me a grand total of:

£759.88.

My estimate was between 200 and 300 , and i was doing so well right up until the start of December when all the big titles came out and then instantly went down to £20 - i spent nearly £200 in the last 2 months alone !

Total £416.91

Myps, you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself.

That's enough to buy a Rega RP1 Turntable and a Marantz PM6004 amp and still leave you with more than 10% of your budget to buy workable speaker cable.

Myps, you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself.

That's enough to buy a Rega RP1 Turntable and a Marantz PM6004 amp and still leave you with more than 10% of your budget to buy workable speaker cable.

I'm probably getting more out of gaming than I am out of music at the mo. Plus I'd have nowhere to put them. :-D

It'll give me something to do until Darker Souls comes out.

Demons souls.

That needs a PS3 which I don't have. Next big purchase for me is speakers for my den.

I'd like to see a Dark Souls game in a Greek mythology setting - I think that would work quite well.

I suspect I've gone well over my estimate for the year. Although all the Steam stuff I've bought has been dirt cheap, it still adds up. Plus there's the occasional new release like EDF and Dark Souls. Plus I treated myself to a DSi and GB Micro the other week.
