I bought Dungeon Raid for 59p, so I have now spent 59p + however much 2000 MS points costs off the dashboard.

Arse, arse, arse! I forgot that the Muchi Muchi Pork/Pink Sweets double pack is out next week in Japan and is region free. Play Asia is telling me $90 including shipping. I... can't. I mean, I just got that gift card... and those points... I simply can't justify...

Bought another £15 of iTunes vouchers.... bringing my total to £62.56

Should boardgames count? If so I've just spent another £15 on half a copy of Dominion...

Well, on the plus side I bought Bulletstorm with my birthday giftcard, so that doesn't count towards my total.

On the negative side, erm, Muchi Muchi Pork/Pink Sweets double pack bought from Play Asia for $88, which takes my total to a nice, neat (and disturbingly high) $200 so far.

I think I'm winning.

I can never resist a random piece of gaming tat - and this dreadful contraption certainly fits that description. $10 in the Winners bargain bin brings my total to $210.

I am Malc74, and I have a problem.

With Modern Warfare 3 and GoW 3 out this year, I may struggle to keep to under a hundred quid as planned. Then again, maybe the wife will smash the XBox before they are released and I'll come in way under!

From other people's comments I obviously shouldn't count stuff I've bought using a voucher. Which means I'm still at zero.

You don't count it if the voucher is from last year.

Yesterday I bought C&C Red Alert off Steam for £3.74 then realised I should add up my iPhone purchases so..

Phoenix Wright - 59p
Super Monkey ball - 59p
Dead Space £3.99
Dungeon Raid - £1.79
Minotaur Rescue - 59p

So total for 2011 is £11.29

Pretty good considering I really want Bulletstorm, Dead Rising 2 and God of War 3 is now sub £20. I don't see any point buying any new 360 games until my contract ends as I'm not around to play them so my estimate initially may end up being conservative despite me getting a decent job.

The average 25 - 34 year old xbox gamer spends £64 a MONTH gaming - based on a 251 person survey by a xbox marketing
group trying to sell advertising.

Firstly this sounds like complete bullshit. Secondly its making me feel better about how much I've splurged.

EDIT: Now with link: http://www.mcvuk.com/news/43330/UK-Xbox-gamers-spend-64-a-month

That's less than two full price games a month, doesn't seem that much really.

Every month of the year? It's a bit much for me to take in, considering I'm still on zero on the WongaWatch and we've just hit the start of the third month.

Or many teenagers. But I have more disposable income than I did when I was a teenager, so I'm going to blame the ridiculously small sample size.

I'm going to blame the fact that it was a marketing company trying to flog advertising doing the survey. "Oh hey look, gamers will spend stupid amounts on games. Pay us now, thanks."

Picked up two Playstation games in a second-hand store yesterday. Disruptor and Grid Runner set me back the princely sum of $4.50, so that's me up to (erk) $214.50.

I just bought Fifa 11 and Speedball 2 for the princely sum of £1.18.

I also bought a wireless gaming receiver for the laptop so I can play shmupmame properly while away from home so another £17.73 to add to my list.

Come on, 'fess up all you new 3DS owners!

I'm on a quite amazing run - not only do I not need to declare all the XBLA games I've bought recently (because I bought them with points that I either loaded last year or that were gifted to me for my birthday), but my inlaws have given us a rather nice chunk of wonga for our trip to the US in a couple of weeks. This means I may be able to pick up an iPod Touch and not even have to declare it in here!

Oh, and I bought 4 more Playstation games while out second-hand shopping, so add another $10 to my total ($224.50).

I've updated mine with the last few IOS things I've purchased and I'm a fraction under £50 which while not bad for 3 months is mainly because the only 'big' game I've shelled out for is Dead Space 2 and that was on special at Argos

I was going to say, that I'd not spent anything either, then I remembered that I bought all that rockband/GH stuff for my son's birthday.

Everything I've obtained for myself has been through vouchers and the like (plus some xbox points bought last year for christmas)

Why ?

Because you haven't spent as much as you wanted to
Because other people are spending more / less than they 'should'
Because it basically shows there has not really been anything that great out in the first 3 months of this year ?

I've only really fancied a couple of games this year, both XBLA. I was just missing a few points each time I went to buy one of the games, so each time Joans bought them so I didn't have to bother topping up.

Expenditure for me = £0 :)

I'll work out a running total tomorrow - off for an early night - but I'm definitely down on previous years. Barring Crysis 2 and some DLC, I've not bought anything for the 360 so far this year, and on PC I've bagged a couple of Steam games and StarCraft 2.

And I bought the points before christmas, so they don't count anyway. Don't think I've bought an actual game since early last year (Lego Rock Band).

Crysis 2 - £35
MS Points - £17

Really fancy Motorstorm Apocalypse as well but reckon that will be £17 in a couple of months.

I've bought a few things, should work it out.

Most recently Deathsmiles for a tenner, and a 3DS.

I'll have to do a proper tally up on this soon. After the 3DS purchase, I am rather worried at what the figure will be, although I did trade in some high value stuff towards it.

And we were doing so well with this thread... anyway, I've recently bought a lot of things. Let's take a look!

Deathsmiles £15.85
Marvel Vs Capcom 3: Fate of two worlds £24.99
Halo Wars £7.99
Forza Motorsport 3 £11.37
Lost Planet 2 £5.00
Portal 2 £32.99
Splatterhouse £11.56
Bulletstorm £18.85

This little lot brings my total this year to £217.14. Getting dangerously close to my target. Handily, the average price I'm paying for a game this year is £16.70. WELL below the RRP.

Interestingly, this year I have only bought Xbox 360 titles. This could change though as I've just seen that LewieP posted Kirbys Epic Yarn for £18. I think I want it.

Oh yeah, Portal 2 for the wonderful price of £17.99.

Doing really well this year on game spending.

Oh shit - I completely forgot about it, and went and spent loads on games:

Xbox 360:
Portal 2: £32.99
De Blob 2: £9.99
DJ Hero w/turntable: £24.99
Super Street Fighter IV: £11.83
Hori Stick: £28
2,000 MS points from dash: £17

Wii:
House of the Dead Overkill: £14
Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles: £14
Wii Zapper: £5

Windows Phone 7:
Fable Coin Golf: £2.49
Pro Evolution Soccer 2011: £3.99
Tiki Towers: £2.49
Full House Poker: £3.99

Adding that onto my existing £39.19 and that gives me a grand total of... £209.95.

Err, whoops.

Gulp. Well, here goes...
iPod Touch 32GB @ $340 (I ended up not buying it in the US with my "free" spending money, so it all has to go on the tab).
iOS games/apps @ 99c each...
Free App Hero
Angry Birds
Angry Birds Seasons
World of Goo
Fruit Ninja
Boggle
$5.94

Add that to my running total of $224.50 and I'm on...oh, Christ...$570.44.
