A couple of weeks ago, some bloke from Belfast claimed to have found a woman talking in a cellphone in a Chaplin film. The obvious conclusion was that it was a tome traveller. It was an oblique reference to that.

I've always said cellphone. Most of my americanised spelling comes from doing science and I'm trying hard to stop it, but I like the increased use of the letter Z and the fact that sulfur is more visually appealing to me than sulphur.

And 20,000 Cornishmen know the reason why.

My son decided to have a massive fever last night. Consequently, I spent most of the night tending my stricken offspring with cold compresses and lots of hugs, before blearily heading off to work this morning.
At the current moment I'm in serious danger of falling asleep in front of the computer. My son is presently tearing around the room singing "I'm a little teapot".
I'm not entirely sure that's fair.

Top tip for sick children:

Get an old bowl or cooking pot that you don't use any more, and leave it by their bed. Tell them if they're going to be sick, be sick into it.

Thus you avoid what my parents had one morning at 3am: having to clean and then baking soda the carpet by my bed, as I'd just covered it in vomit.

imho a bucket is better. They're less likely to miss it and spillage is also less likely to occur.

I have all avatars and sigs turned off, so I have to rely on names.

Though it's amazing how often yuo don't even have to read the name to get who posted it.

well, the investigation is set to continue. There are 3 factors we can vary: size of crisp; flavour of crisp; crisp manufacturer. I always find I can fit more Worcester Sauce flavour crisps in my mouth than S&V.
