Greetings, fellow travellers!

Take another sup of yon mead, and gather round for a chilling saga of villainy and heroism, of errant knights and despicable curs, and all that passed within this accursed seven days.

I'll tell of upstanding guildsman Craster, who did make his displeasure known at itsallwaters desecration of wikipedia's mourning shroud, did cast the most belittling aspersions 'pon kalmar's reliance on the sun and then did most mockingly suggest that MaliA's enforced abstinence from the flesh of beasts was nothing more than a ploy to better fit his mummer's robes!

And also of attentive scrivener DazPaz, who did cast out MaliA for his most inept wordsmithing.

Let us not forget markg, who did damn most utterly the larksome talents of the Germanic Despot, and then suggested that Zardoz did use his allotted time upon this earthly realm in a most foolish manner.

Those who follow the yearly tradition of Yuletide gift giving will be thankful to Zardoz, for ensuring that none forget this most joyous and pleasant of arrangements.

However, those of you who wonder at the thrilling tournament of horse-less carts should ensure you take heed of metalangel's most magnificent highlights reel.

So there, fellow yeomen, is my tale. Was there ever such a week as this? Who knows. Will such sport and merriment ever repeat itself? Perchance, for troubadours such as those in my tale do not rest upon past deeds, but are ever striving for further excellence!

Hearty thanks must be offered to Craster, DavPaz, Grim..., Zardoz and Gilly, for bringing these acts of valour to my most humble attention.

Alas and alack, my learning of the strange mysteries of the Beex Week were sadly remiss. Those who do follow after me, take note!

If anyone actually wants to check they could always look at the properties of the Beex Weeker group in messages.

I would suggest that since other people (Davpaz) has the nominiations for last week they forward them on to someone else to put together one ? (happy to volunteer) , and that the unfortunate person who managed to miss out has an appropriate punishment (perhaps not able to start a 'new' thread for a week but only contribute to existing ones :p )

I also think we need a new Beex weeker 'now' to make sure that we'll have one on Friday ....

All his existing posts and threads should be merged into B&B.

All new posts can only be made in B&B.

And slap the back of his legs.

Are you sure the nominated person was actually told that they were the BEEX Weeker? Last time I was nominated nobody bothered telling me until I received a single PM with a nomination for a PoTW, with no explanation of what it was for. I had neither the Internet or a working computer, and I think it was Davpaz who kindly took over and saved the day.

It is now the done thing to not inform the Beex Weeker that they have been nominated. It was decided that it was funnier this way

So if no-one nominated anything, they'd never know they were the Beex Weeker?

that's what happened to me. There was one nomination and it didn't say it was a nomination. I couldn't do it as I couldn't get to a computer, so maybe everyone was just dull last week.

The first time I was told I was the person

Quote:
Hi Beexer! You have been randomly selected as the next compiler of Beex Week! Congrats!

Through the week, you will receive PMs from the group 'Beex Weeker' which you can compile and present on Friday at 13:37 in which ever fashion you wish.

If you need any help, or are unable or unwilling to perform this task, please let me know ASAP.

When your week is up, please 'randomly' select the next victim volunteer!

Enjoy!

The other times I've done it have been from volunteering to do so - given that some people are often not around for long periods I do think its worth checking in that they can do it (and swapping it out if they cant).

(and I know that last weeks nominee seems to have been offline since the middle of last week so I'm not actually blaming them - although i'd like them to be back around so that we do know they are okay and that Zardoz can taunt them)
