I mentioned this (dissolving Oyster cards) to some london-chums at the weekend. They all agreed that the magic wand idea was acebest. I hope you try this one, and that it works, and that you don't get shot in the face for it.

Err, how much are Oyster Cards anyway?

And then they check if it's been validated for that trip, it hasn't, and they fine you anyway.

You could get a paper-ticket travel card and show the fuzz that one, I suppose.

It would appear I've been dropped from the coverage tonight - as I've not heard anything (I think I pissed the ITV guy off by caring about the originator getting his props.)

I suspect it will still go ahead though, so if londoners fancy watching it it will be tonight. But just with the Chris Woeasben guy (who may (or may not) have been a little mean to me, considering I gave up TV FAME for him).

But I'm glad that it's getting on TV. And I'm glad that Skeptobot is officially "TV worthy" according to ITV.

That and b3ta brought in 15,000 hits (though I've only 8,000 views of the video which shows how most people didn't care).

All in all not a bad week though! That and I can put:

"[A] rather eccentric chap" - b3ta newsletter

On stuff - Which is always good.

I hate TV people, I can't tell you the number of times some cucking funt has contacted me basically saying 'COME ON THIS TEEVEE SHOW!!!!!', and I've said 'errr, ok then', and then I've been totally ignored. Now when people contact me I just say 'No thanks, unless you're going to pay me loads of money', because of course they never will, but it saves me getting my hopes up.

To be fair the ITV man was lovely. He was definitely going to come round today until I said that the true inventor of the idea should get to present it instead.

If I was a bastard I could have pretended it was me who invented it - but then how could I live with myself...

It's nobility like that which indicates that you were never cut out for television, Lave. And for that you can hold your head high.

The magic wand is not acebest. The sonic screwdriver is clearly acebest, bonus points for dressing up like David Tennant's Doctor and getting all shouty and waving some "psychic" paper at one of the station attendants.

Pah, the sonic screwdriver would be lost on many people in the real world I'd imagine (neat though it undoubtedly is).

Whereas dressing up in full garb ( :hat: ), with a wand would make everyone go "Oh, wow, a wizard!", or if they are older "That is wizard!", or if they are police "GET TO THE FUCKING FLOOR" *bang*

Ah, 6 o clock ITV london news will cover it then. I'm not sure if they include any skeptobot (hint: they won't) but still!

I'm going to pop off home early to watch it (shame I can't record it) to see what it's like.

Crimewatch does not count.

Don't worry, it got nothing. Strange though as I did see it mentioned earlier in the day. There was 'breaking news' though.

Hmmm, but I never got a reply from the guy, so who knows...
