So just to recap: up the thread I mention an quirk of how The Walking Dead works, which I spoiler tag. Kalmar mentions it in open text, then amends that after I nudge him. You agree with my nudging that this constitutes a spoiler.

Then you restate the spoiler in the last part of your post three up from this one, then you claim that's not a spoiler at all?

I'm bitter that Kalmar has spoiled the books for me.

Yeah, I've watched the first two and it seems OK so far.
It does stand a high chance of going the way of Flash Forward, i.e. completely stagnating once the basic plot device is established,

The head Alien - what was she in? I just can't think of it.

She played Dr Kerry Weaver in ER and I think the first gay female character I ever noticed on TV. Especially when she started getting gay with Elizabeth Mitchell aka Juliet from Lost. ;)

Anyway, sorry, Zombies? Hopefully I'll get to watch this when I get home later. Looking forward to it!

Has anyone e.g. Craster recorded this on their Media Centre and is able to make a copy available for download?

So, this week's episode. That's a bit tense then!

Did anyone else think the combat shovel Rick briefly grabs was a World War Z reference?

I've just seen the first one. I thought it was fairly good.
Is the lead guy English (like he was in Love Actually) or American (like he is in this)?

However: DEAR HOLLYWOOD - JUST BECAUSE YOUR CAR GETS A PUNCTURE DOESN'T MEAN IT LEAPS OFF THE ROAD KTNX.

I just watched the first episode.

I enjoyed it, and thought it was paced quite nicely. Only thing I wasn't fond of was the survivors outside Atlanta and how that went. Was a bit 'meh' for that part.

But overall good.

Grim... - he's English.

QUESTION!

Who was the black guy he meets in the first episode? I recognise him.

He was in Jericho.

Episode 2 was good. It still isn't amazing. I hope they can make me love it in the next four episodes.

There's a zombie in the background of Episode 2 who really looks like Mr Dave.

Good interview with Kirkman, the comic writer, on some of the differences between the comic and the first episode of the TV show. He confirms it's not Carrey, Grim... Also, that horse was used in Romero's last zombie film!

Every time I quickly scroll down the active topics bit, I read this as 'The Wanking Thread'. Then I realise it's not Zardoz being a cad, it's me not being able to work my brain. It dashes my hopes every single time, without fail. I think we need a wanking thread. Not a wanker thread, I think Davspaz has that one under control with bits n bobs.

This was one of my primary reasons for criticising the pacing of the first episode, knowing that there were only five to follow.

That was Lennie James. He's been in a metric shit-ton of stuff, but I primarily remember him as one of the robbers who're menaced by Brick Top in Snatch.

Ah, now I have given his name to IMDB, I see that I recognise him from an episode of 'Lie To Me'. I knew he was a Brit!

Very amusing that most of the first episode was about him and Andrew Lincoln... both pretending to be American.

That was rather my point, yes. That's like posting "Shakespeare? Who he?" or "Firefly? Never seen it."

The pilot of Burn Notice had the female lead speaking an unfuckingbelievable terrible Irish accent. Really, truly, shocking. Come episode 2, it was gone without a trace. Unsurprisingly.

You're not wrong. American TV is even worse at Irish accents than it is at English ones*.

What amused me about that is that they left a clip of her from the pilot in the intro.

You just reminded me that I saw this last week. Remind me again who it is that thinks Katee Sackhoff is sexy?

I'll post the link as I'm not sure if some people might find a shot of three actresses in bikinis NSFW
