After two months of continually calling and pestering environmental services finally called back. Very nice chap as it goes, so nice he is coming today to get the ball rolling (so he can see this shit pit for himself).

Wicked.

I also found a flat for rent locally (like literally 10 secs from here) that has a new kitchen, new bathroom, is in a brilliant place and only costs an extra tenner a month. So I have my fingers crossed on that too. It is about 1/4 of the size of what I have now but I really couldn't give a toss. It's less to clean, less to vacuum and so on.

But where will you keep your bikes?

We're doing grey for the living room too.

...although only one wall, as our living/dining/stairs is open plan so if you start painting the other wall you have nowhere to stop until you've done the whole house.

What's to stop you ordering a tester pot, painting a board, and getting it matched at B&Q?

Not much. Although it doesn't always work. A friend tried to do that with one specific F&B colour and the Dulux trade shop talked him out of it; they said there's subtle tints in it they can't 100% match and also if he ever wanted a touchup paint or more of the same paint for elsewhere in the house they wouldn't be able to guarantee mixing it the same again. He ended up buying a Dulux colour that was just very similar.

Hmmmm.... unless there is a reflective flake in it, or something like that, then that seems like bullshit to me.

I wonder if there is more profit in the pre-mixed retail pots...
