I'm mainly going for bandages & warps at the moment, so no immediate worry.

The red warp on chapter 5 is proving to be horrible. Chs 1-4 weren't so bad.

The Dave is miffed: Collected around 20 bandages (some of which were horrible) and completed a few levels. Then the game hung, and all that progress went missing.

:(

How do you fall down after getting the key then?

You can either make very small jumps from wall to wall (Tricky, but a required technique for later dark worlds) or fall down the middle with very small adjustments.

It iis the hardest part of the level. Get past that and you may well be able to complete the rest first time.

Ah thanks! Cracked it, now to sweep through the boss of chapter 6.

...

Fuck.

Bloody hell! How much worse is the PC version of Super Meat Boy than the XBox version?

A lot worse, that's how much. To mention nothing of the fact that it crashes a fair amount, one of the best things about SMB (XBox) was how smoothly it controlled. On the pc version, releasing a control doesn't always stop it being applied immediately - sometimes it does, but after a substantial gap, which in a game like this is far too long.

I thought it was just a problem with keyboard controls (The game is rather insistent at the beginning that the game pad is preferable) but plugging in an xbox controller keeps the problems.

I have now got 100 bandages, just need to beat two of the cotten alley dark levels, unlock the kid and then beat the dark version of the final boss.

25 hours in.

I thought this was quite funky to stumble across. Just had a quick go to "A+" the levels I'd missed and it seems that they've been adding more content via TEH INTERNETS world. There's an Expert (remix); Cramps (Nova), Sewers of Dross & Butcher Boy to choose. All free! There's about 20 levels for each so 80 new levels without having to pay a single Microsoft penny for.

Last I played TEH INTERNETS it had one world (Butcher Boy I think) with that retro styling that was off putting and had those cunty pixel perfect jumps that made me lose interest, but the other worlds seem to be in the normal style with the funky hum-along tracks.

They are, of course, ridiculously hard. But still, FREE.

I don't like the new music as much as before. Yeah, i've only played five levels of the first world. Wanna make something of it?

14 minutes of The Switch’s take on Super Meat Boy - Super Meat Boy Forever.

Doesn’t look too bad if they charge £15 for it.

If it’s £30+ it won’t be a particularly attractive proposition.

Isn't the original game already on Switch.

Looking at that, it's lostsome of the charm of having small, but well constructed levels.

Just seen on reddit that this has just got a local multiplayer mode on PC! If I had friends I’d play it with them. I don’t. But it’d be great for those that do.

Online MP would be better.
