And Portal 3 and Left 4 Dead 3.

Valve have a real problem counting past two.

Valve haven't made games themselves in aeons. The Portal and L4D teams were assimilated from elsewhere. Half-Life 2 might have been their last game, in 2004 (sub please check).

Well, except that those teams then grew due to existing valve people joining the effort.

Portal 2 (the last full game I remember them releasing was quite long time ago. Before The first beexbq at any rate. )

You've forgotten about Dota 2.

Is not what I have said factually correct then? *

(I did post this after checking out the Wikipedia page on valve releases, saw dota 2, but rather disregarded it for much the same reason I discounted the lab. Which may or not be fair, given its something I've never really noticed or paid much attention to. )

DOTA is a stupid game that appears to be designed so weirdos can shout abuse at each other, so doesn't count.

Anyway, Half-Life 3 is the last of the great 'vaporware all-stars' Prey came out, Duke Nukem Forever came out, The Last Guardian is about to come out.

Apparently 8-12 hours long.

I'll probably end up devouring it in a single session.

Apparently, reviewers have already gotten the game and the review embargo lifts on Monday, so I'll wait for that, and if there are no catastrophic shortcomings, I'll preorder at that point, I think.

Our long awaited latest work, about a boy and an eagle engaging in mad bondage, is finally released

残念、糞だ

Pish, it's:

いよいよ発売を目前に控えた『人喰いの大鷲トリコ』ロンチトレイラー公開です!

Is "guardian of the people eating" Ronchi trailer released finally declined to release in the near future.

That text does not appear in the video.

I missed out the part that says

『ICO』
『ワンダと巨象』に続く
新たな物語ー

because I imagine you could guess what that says... (Ico and (shadow of the colossus - Translation consistency Ed) are continued with [our] new story) which is then continued with the part I had above.

(Oh, and by the way ronchi = launch. And declined makes no sense. It's refering to the game, not the trailer, and is clearly the wrong translation of 控える. See, this is why you need me to translate stuff.)

I've said it once and I'll say it again, let's not forget that this year had INSIDE and Owlboy both release after years in LIMBO (ho-ho) and release to critical acclaim. 2016 has been great for games (shit for everything else).

Exactly my thoughts. They're mixed in the way that they're not all the same, but they're very good scores. Not that it matters, I reckon Sat will like it either way.

I think it's average in terms of games that would actually be on most people's radar but there's enough abject shite nobody knows or cares about that gets released to make it also technically correct.
