If only it was fairly cheap to buy Lucky Charms cereal. I can't justify £7 a box, regardless of delivery costs.

62p a can for Coke? I'll stick with my 20p a can Pepsi from Lidl thanks.

Don't know about random grey market pepsi in Lidl but 60p is a fairly typical single can price for coke.

Not grey market. They've had that deal on for well over 6 months now. I'm buying it two cases at a time. Woolworths have also had 6 packs for a quid as well. Someone else on World Of (Attitude - Ed) pointed out that Sainsburys had also been running Pepsi deals for 6 packs which were only a few pence more.

General opinion was that Pepsi were doing some aggressive price cutting to gain market share. Either way I've not been buying Coca Cola for a while as at three times the price it seems just a shade expensive. The Pepsi cans are all from the UK, unlike the local chippy who serves Polish Coca Cola.

Then it's a damn good thing I said UK Coke prices not UK Cola prices then ;)

That said, 62p is still a stonking price for Mountain Dew (whose cans are marginally bigger than the UK standard).

Lidl grey market Pepsi rocks! The one near me used to sell cheap 2 litre bottles of German Pepsi and that was the awesomest cola ever.

They are selling cheap bottles at the moment as well, again they are UK versions though. Can't remember the prices.

The best soft drink ever has to be Sass, but being it was a locally brewed drink by a small company called Marsh's in the North West of England I somewhat doubt anyone else has had it.

It was fantastic, everytime your parents treated you to Fish and Chips you got this fantastically fizzy and wonderfully addictive drink to go along with it. It wasn't just sasparilla, it was ultimately more awesome than that.

Sadly Marsh's went out of business and sold on their recipes to other companies, Sass could never be reproduced however because, rumour has it, the ingrediants turned out not to meet "EU Health Rules".

Damn nice stuff though.

I was talking to my missus last night, about American Soda, and Dew n' stuff. She was both highly amused and shocked by the price of it. She'd been to a small grocery store near her (not part of any chain) to get some things, and bought some whilst she was there. She bought four 12-packs of Mountain Dew*. In total, it came to $8. She offered to scan the receipt in, when I went 'WHATT??!'

By comparison, from somewhere like American Soda (where the prices seem artificially to be 'UK prices'), two 24-packs would cost $80 dollars. Yes, literally ten times more. 'kin hell, eh?

* I might note that she lives up a hill, in an area prone to heavy snowfall. Proper 'Yeah, we're stuck here til next week' country, acely.

Dunno, MyBeatifulLaundrettekaka I reckon customs would double the cost, and the sheer weight of all of those cans would surely ratchet up the price dramatically.

If anyone knows differently/better though, do tell.

Just make your own Kool Aid instead. Most importers sell it very cheap.

I find my local fish 'n' chip emporium is the only place I can buy Cherry 7Up these days.

It truly is the drink of kings.

Luckily, I can buy it in 3 shops, all within 60 seconds walking distance of my house.

I love living next to shops.

I love Cherry Coke. I also love Dr Pepper.

Better than either, though, is Vodka and Cherry Coke. It's so nice! The local shop used to stock cherry coke mostly for me, as I would buy tons and tons of it. Now, sadly, I have to miss out, as 6 months of drinking pints of vodka and cherry coke (or Dr Pepper) slowly ruined my stomach and digestive system.

:'(

Oh well, there's always lovely wine, still.

I haven't thought of doing that.

As an aside, though, is Vodka & Coke a girly drink? I can never decide. What about Vodka & Tonic?

I get annoyed when people say things like "that's a girly drink". I personally don't like the taste of beer/lager apart from the odd pint on a hot summers day. Why should the girls get all the tasty drinks?

My new tipple of choice is Koppaberg Pear Cider. Yum.

Like I said, 13p a can in Bahrain.

To be fair to American Soda, you can currently get 3 for that price.

I know, I know. When I have a Malibu & Coke or Gin & Tonic, though, people usually say "You big girl." I haven't had any experiences with vodkas though.

Also, I don't like lagers/beer either. The small of them is enough to make me wretch and possibly puke.

There are certain drinks which don't quite fit into the manly category, but that's just macho silliness

There are one or two, however, that quite clearly indicate a lack of trouser equipment - malibu is one of those.

Is that a pub sold beverage or more of a supermarket one? If pub, which brewery/owner/chain? I don't remember seeing it in the fridges.

As you are in agreeance with the Cherry 7up, I shall have to taste this.

I have suffered greatly throughout my aduly life from really, really hating lager/beer/stout.

I started on cheap/nasty cider, moved on to Hooch when they invented it, and then through the gamut of alcopops and spirit/mixers.

Now I mostly drink wine or cider, with the odd spirit+mixer/cocktail or Smirnoff Ice thrown in. I can't drink too much JD+coke or similar though, as it makes my intestines explode.

I was in a Goth club a few months ago, drinking WKD blues. That may be the most effeminate thing I've ever done, but it was a good night.

The local Waitrose is clean out of all Fentimans products and their space on the shelf has been used for other products. I do hope this is not the start of anything sinister. I intend to email them to find out.

I would have asked at Customer Services but the their time was already being wasted by mindless cretins and I didn't wish to wait.

Edit: I have now emailed them. I await a response.
