I think it's best all round if I get a lift with Dimrill & Hells and Myp bikes it ;)

We currently have around 22 people on the 'interested' list, though doubtless some will be unable to come. There might be several more people if people will be bringing their significant others. Would the likes of Bobby, Riles, Craster, Grim..., Malabar etc let me know if their other halves would be likely to join us too?

The house sleeps 20 (in beds), in a combination of double, twin and double + a single rooms. If we go over 20 we have two options:

1 - There's a second, slightly smaller, house next to ti that we could also book (ideal if our numbers swell to 30+)
2 - If some people are less fussy about their sleeping arrangements then we could have some people kipping on sofas and/or blow-up mattresses (or the floor). These people would of course receive a discount on the cost of the accomodation.

Obviously enough, the second option would result in a lower cost per person, but depending on numbers might not be as viable.

Bagsy Miss Malabar if you're sharing a mattress with Craster.

Actually don't worry, I won't be there :)

I'd be very surprised if Mrs Grim... came, as that would involve some babysitting. I'll ask, though.

I'm happy to sleep on an airbed, or a tent, or whatever.

According to Russell, there's no bagsying Miss Malabar. It's a competition, and he will win.

Should we check the house is available that weekend before we get too excited and start organising sleeping arrangements/dibs on Miss Malabar?

Post subject:  Re: Beex Unplugged!

It is availible.
We'd perhaps be wise to book up, though.

Post subject:  Re: Beex Unplugged!

Also check if they have a maximum amount of people that they're legally covered for in the house. You may find that it violates their fire insurance or something if there's more than the number on the website stated.

Author:  Cras [ Thu Jul 08, 2010 12:49 ]
Post subject:  Re: Beex Unplugged!

I'd say we find out prices and max numbers, then make a snap decision as to whether we book the one place or two.

The 16th October? When are the Scottish school holidays? If it is that week then I might not be able to come but it's too early to say.

EDIT- ah, I checked. Looks like the holidays finish on that weekend. I don't know then, there is a slim chance we might scrape the cash to go on holiday then so I can't commit til I find out.

Post subject:  Re: Beex Unplugged!

I'm fairly sure we've had more than 20 in there before.

Re: booking. It is available that weekend, but not for many of the other weekends. There seems to be enough people to justify booking at least one of them. I'm just holding off until my mate gets back to me. He normally books the place when we go there, and you get a discouint by going directly to the guy who owns it instead of through a website. Not sure how much, but every little helps.

I'll hassle him by phone if he doesn't reply before long.

Pre-discount I think it's 1477 pounds for the place for three nights (there's no 'two nights' option).

If we have, say, 22 people (at the moment we have more) then it would be 1477/22 = 67 pounds per person.

However, we may get a few quid off if my friend comes through with the discount (no idea how much), or if there are more peoples.

Thus far we have the concubines of Malabar, ApplePie, Myp, Curio, Joans and Dimmers. And possibly others... who can know for sure?

I will book the place tomorrow.

You probably won't even say sorry afterwards...

FWIW, almost certainly an "in" at pretty much any date (ie. the things that might stop me coming are ones I won't know about until much nearer the time).

I don't think I'm doing anything in October. Or most of 2013. Possibly I will eat at some point, but yes, I could still fit this in.

I will beat you at arm wrestling (because when we start to wrestle, my wife will kick you in the nuts).
