Aha! My baited line caught my intended fish. You do have an extensive DLC collection.

For sociability reasons though, and if Rock Band was any more social I'd want STD tests from you all before attending. I dunno, what does the house think?

(I could also bring my Yamaha drum kit, rather than the weedy toy Rock Band one.)

Social for four people, less so for 30. I dunno, I wouldn't be fussed.

Watching people play plastic instruments gets old very quickly. There's only so much constant fake strumming and drum-bashing you can put up with if you're not directly involved, and it carries quite far through a house.

Nay vote from me.

You've obviously never been involved in the constant rotate-a-thon sessions at Myp's.

I'm fine with it being there. Chances are we won't all be doing the same thing at the same time very often.

And there are two houses, so we can relegate the geek rock band to the smaller one like the goddamn pariahs they are.

Um. This is getting tricky; I might be moving to Japan. It depends on MissN's negotiations. Which are this week. So I won't know until next week, unless she just signs a contract without waiting to discuss it with me after she gets back on Sunday.

Realistically I'm expecting her to sign, because she seems utterly unable to say "no" even though she didn't want to go before getting together with me, and hasn't really expressed that as an option since. I'm hoping that means she'd need to work her notice but it's the same Nobel-prize-winning employer, "just" a different country, so normal procedures don't necessarily apply.

We can afford for me to go over without a job, but I work for the same corporation and have to work with Japan and occasionally go over, so there's scope for me getting a ((semi-)permanent) transfer, but the timescale of that is obviously indeterminate (unlike "here's my month's notice"). She does claim to be insisting on a 6 month get-out clause, so maybe I'll just use all my holiday going over instead.

Long and short of it, I haven't a fucking clue where I'm going to be mid-October, and would anyone like to take over my deposit? If it can't be transferred I'll pay the balance, but later in the week; would Friday be okay?

Are any of the rooms big enough for us to watch a film together? Does it have a plain white wall? Does anyone have access to a projector?

(I think some pre-planned group activities will help keep some cohesion.)

I have finally booked this off work!

Well, not the friday (15th). I have to come in early then and can't get it off. Stupid academic year.

Friday night to Monday, I can do, though! Is there still room? How do I get there? Are we providing our own hamsters?

There is still room. I think I put directions in the thread somewhere (possibly the front page) and I dunno about hamsters.

Note that "funny" notes on PayPal, like "next time suck harder and use your teeth less" have been known to get the account shut down.

I'll send you some monies shortly, Curio.

'twasn't PayPal, but I'm surprised that they do that anyway.

Actually, wait, no I'm not. PayPal are shysters of the highest order, I'd avoid using them if there was any way these days.

This might sound a bit paranoid, but is it worth removing the address of the location from the forum and sending it out to everyone by PM closer to the time? Any potential stalkers might already know where we're going, but for some reason it feels a little odd to have this out in the open, especially if people are talking about bringing expensive kit along.

I have a spare casserole that Gaywood can hide in if his fanclub arrives.
