With Rick Rolling being the latest big thing online, my thoughts turned to the man who never quite made the big time, Whistlin' Rick Wilson.

Rick was the pop sensation to be found on the pages of Your Sinclair and had a song on the Your Sinclair Covertape. Pip Scofield even played it on Radio 1.

The Your Sinclair Rock And Roll Years website now have a download avaliable of this classic Your Sinclair ditty.

http://www.ysrnry.co.uk/articles/holdhand.htm

Clicky up the top, and the mp3 is in the zip file.

All together!

Hold my hand very tightly
Very tightly
Very tightly
Hold my hand very tightly
Ooo-ooo ooo-ooo-ooooooo...

Hold my hand tight
Snuggle up next to me

The sensation!

And tell me that you'll be true-ooo-ooo.
Kiss my cheek and
Snuggle up close to me
'Cos sugar honey I love you-ooo.

When I met you on a rainy Tuesday
Invited you around for some tea.
Outside the weather was grey and gloomy
But the sun's gonna shine on me.

When you hold my hand very tightly
Very tightly
Very tightly
Hold my hand very tightly
Ooo-ooo ooo-ooo-ooooooo...

Hold my hand very tightly
Very tightly
Very tightly
Hold my hand very tightly
Ooo-ooo ooo-ooo-ooooooo...

Hold my hand
Hold my hand
Ho-ho ho-ho ho-ho-ho-ho-ho... (Casio keyboard sampling!)
(repeat four times)

Hold my hand very tightly
Very tightly
Very tightly
Hold my hand very tightly
Ooo-ooo ooo-ooo-ooooooo...

Hold my hand very tightly
Very tightly
Very tightly
Hold my hand very tightly
Ooo-ooo ooo-ooo-ooooooo...

(Whistles chorus over and over, fades...)

Prices have been going up for a while. Gone are the days of mint condition units for a tenner each, and games for less than a fiver. I've seen some consoles go on Ebay for 70 quid and games for 20 quid a go.
