Ah! Serves me right for speed-reading.

I don't know, I quite liked parts of Pete. Particulary the entire time displaced fight thing. And also, for more personal reasons, the part in cassandra where Rimmer gets a bit annoyed and gives Cassandra the finger. Not in the same league as the early series, but by no means bad.

To be honest i've only vague memories of it. I just remember it going downhill after series 6(?).

To get back to the subject, I sincerely hope Dr A hasn't gone for good. I remember he told us that he'd had some seriously bad news a while back. In that case I can certainly understand why he might blow-up over a fairly minor thing like this with such a weight on his mind.

Don't go Dr A! We need more Noseybonk!

This.
Except the Noseybonk bit. Noseybonk is like a mouth ulcer. I have to keep checking to make sure it hurts.

It's a euphemism - at 7:30 Noseybonk takes over his body till day break. That was the cost of his unholy resurrection.

(You get what I mean they, he said 'fuck it' and turned the PC off).

No. 'm saying in general, I wish people would voice their concerns as and when they have them, when the issues arise, and am generally ruminating on this. Offering an example of what happens otherwise is not meant to say this thread is full of explosions.

Either people don't want to be asked if they want stuff, and how they want stuff; or, people are missing seeing being asked.

There's a lot of posts, I don't bother reading them all, and I really don't bother with ones that discuss what the forum should look like or how it should be moderated etc. Life's too short and all that. I imagine a lot of people are in the same boat - you won't get thier reactions on changes until you make them.
I didn't even notice the icons, my brain just filters out all that stuff and reads the thread titles. Occasionally I get a tad annoyed at non-descriptive thread titles but it only takes 5 seconds to click through and skim read the first few sentences.
(And likewise were I to post something I wouldn't bother with an icon).

I only just saw this thread and it seems to have got somewhat derailed by now.

(I actually own a copy of the exact same thing that Ashens linked to)

Turn out that we mods now daren't do anything unless it's been reported (using the button that Isn't Good Enough, of course), so actually you 'normals' are now under more pressure than us! HA!

Which is good imo.

A mods job is to moderate, not to subedit.

As to this specific whine, if no icon means that people intent on classification never see it then fine, that's the posters fault for not Brucing (Marketing, wonder if I can get that to catch on) their thread well enough.

I overreacted! I'd had a couple of beers and an argument with the other half and ended up taking it out on you guys.

I would like to apologise to anyone who was offended by my comments. Excellence will resume forthwith.

This has been a myoptika climbdown sponsored by Krispy Kreme Donuts.

I once downloaded the whole of Red Dwarf and watched it. I later realised I'd downloaded the dodgy chinese DVD versions which were abnormally short episodes and explain all the really dodgy jump-cuts while watching them. As such I probably missed half of what the eps were supposed to be about. Never got round to rewatching them all properly.

Likewise I'm sorry that I was rude in getting at you about it.
