That's a simple yet brilliant idea. I'll be definately be testing that out.

I've got the valkyrie rockets on at the minute - brilliant fun blasting them skywards in capture the flag. Especially that winter level when you can clear the whole middle building and dump them on top of a defending team. Not many people use them either so they're a bit quirky.

I'm running with spy plane, care package and floppy chopper. Not that I have actually got to the floppy chopper yet...

As I mainly play hardcore, spy plane is essential.
I use the care package as i'm not good enough to get longer killstreaks, so at least I get to play with the cool stuff occasionally :d

Finished the campaign and probably enjoyed it more than MW2's, which I can barely even remember, bar a few set pieces and a lot of frustration. I can't see myself bothering on anything above Normal difficulty, as the CoD becomes less of an action game and more of a twitchy memory remember-where-that-guy-is-so-he-doesn't-kill-you game, but I'm happy enough with the time (I'd guess at about 7-8 hours at a very relaxed multi-session pace) I've spent for the money I paid.

The whole thing was utterly ridiculous, anyway. Good fun.

Fucking "matchmaking" in this game is really getting on my wick now. I'm tired of being dumped into games that are half finished on the losing team whilst the winning team is enjoying a major run of killstreak rewards. I just went 1-7 in one of them because I simply couldn't spawn without dying. Then the game ends and everybody fucks off, so you have to search for another game which you get dropped in the middle of and the cycle continues. There are nearly a million people online. Is it really so hard to match a few people for a fresh fucking game?

And we need a Mercenary Objective playlist. Getting spanked by parties and clans isn't fun.

Aaaand I just got a 21 kill streak in Team Deathmatch on Array. Mainly FAMAS kills too. None of that chopper gunner bullshit. I've put it in my fileshare n tha.

The wager game types are so much chuffing fun. They're the ultimate "just one more go" game.

Whoop, whoop!

I've been desperately trying to get a start on that challenge for dropping a crate on an enemies head which I'm convinced is virtually impossible without cheating and having a friend on the other side. When you do find an enemy just standing there they either move out of the way when they hear fizz of the smoke or kill you and nick the care package, which is both frustrating and exciting. Fortunately there isn't a emblem or title for doing it (and the challenge is to do it "5" times? Fack off) so I'll go back to just having fun thank you please. I really like doing the challenges but the lack of incentive beyond more COD Credits is desperately upsetting.

I managed it twice in Cod 6. Both times were on the new level in the new housing complex. You throw the care package onto a balcony, then people walk under the balcony it lands on them. Other than that attempt to hit a spawn point.

You would think that to help out they would simply up the potential of getting them in the normal 'care package'

I've been playing around with the 'final' guns and quite like the commando (good all purpose) and the fin fal (single shots and no recoil) - had a try with the SMG's but dont like the accurancy on them - and the final shotgun things are quite strange (specially since the only attachment on them is dual wield - great for close up but if the enemy is any distance away then they are rubbish)

Speaking of care packages. I use hardline pro which means you can try again on care packages. It also works on Sam turrets so I presume sentry guns too so you can in effect have 3 care packages equipped.

Finished campaign: action packed sillyness with rubbish story. At least a quarter of it is World at War with improved graphics. Blimey weren't it violent though? And didn't it go off the boil at the end:

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Attack the boat! BLAM, BLAM, BLAM. On the Boat! BLAM BLAM. Down here! BLAM! Underwater base! WEEEEEEEE! Baddies! BLAM BLAM BLAM. Boss Guy! Choke him! To the surface! WEEEEEEEEEE! The. End. SKIP CREDITS. JFK! ZOMBIES!

You also get that silly JFK epilogue just after the credits but just before the Zombies. You haven't missed much Gill.

And you still get the 2nd stage of Zombies regardless.

These youtube vids of hammy kills remind me of this brilliant Search & Destroy match where I fired a ballistic knife at someone who was trying to kill me; it went straight by him but I somehow managed to run round him, pick it up, reload and then fire it again getting the match winning kill.

It's probably long gone off my list of games by now so you'll have to take my word that it was better than these kills :hat: :

Fluke Tomahawk Kill

Grenade in the Balls

At the weekend I found the main problem was people dropping out of games before they finished - although you pick up the kills and stuff you missout on a lot of the bonuses.

I also was 'dropped' into a lot of games in the final minutes when the side i joined was obviously losing by a large amount - this might have been due to the 'free' weekend and you getting a lot of people who had not really played before online / the larger volume because of these extra people / people just being ***t's

And i'm now back on the lookout for a sentry gun to kill as I lost all my pro perks at first prestige (although I doubt i will go around again - instead i'll get to 50 and try to unlock stuff).

It is suprising how quickly you can go back up (i'm about 27 or so 2nd time around) but it was a bit odd using the pre-built classes and having to wait to pay to unlock the perks i actually wanted (although when I hit the enfield at level 8 everything went much easier)

Do you intend going back around again - apart from the level 13 prestige coloured clan tag , and the extra class definition unlocks at 3 , 5 etc is there anything else to gain ?

I think there are some extra face paints, and camo colours (maybe), and the shitty awful titles and there might be a few emblem shapes that are locked too.

i.e. Fuck all.

Gun Game's pretty awesome too. Bloody tricky getting past the set of sniper rifles. Great idea having the No.1 guy flagged up as a gold blob too - Makes demoting whoever it is with a stabby stab that much more fun.

I only played that once, on Nuketown. I got spawnkilled twice, and after that it was very hard to win as everyone else had automatic weapons and rocket launchers, and I was stuck with a six shot pistol!

For me, the extra game modes are going to be the only thing to give this game longevity. With no specific pretty awards for maxing out guns, I cant be arsed moving beyond the M16, and should I prestige, I doubt this would change.

Shame you got stuck with that map. The respawn points are patently unfair for free for all types of matches. If you've got a maximum of 6 (or is it 8 players?) I can't see why they've only got two areas for respawn points. Great for team matches but otherwise ridiculous.

I tomahawked a guy who was about to win with about ten seconds to go.

Nice

Enjoyable games last night even if we did have a never ending stream of people who didn't seem to grasp the point of the game - a number of 250 vs 0 scores in HCHQ and some seriously silly amounts of kill streaks (okay my rewards are at 3 / 4 / 5 and I just burn them up but I was hitting 11 and 12 and I think Curio got to about 23 or 24)

Going from 0-1 to 24-1 was fun, though I'll admit switching a moustachioed golfer for attack dogs helped me there.
