It asks me to add their name. It hasn't done that before. Does it matter what I put?

It does this when you add someone first on your 3DS, before they return the favour as it were. I would think you could enter any name for them at this stage - when they then add you later their 'real' name will show up on your friend list.

Thanks Dr Lave! I'll commit it to memory one day... Why they can't just use user names I'll never know?

Sorry for the derail - would that be Monster Hunter Freedom Unite? I'm well into my PSP now.

I reckon it might be. That or Monster Hunter Freedom Unite 2, since that's, like, erm, twice as big init?

Just checked and I can download it on Vita with the online functionality intact apparently. Lord knows, if anyone's still on the servers though.

Just noticed I have *an* MH game that a colleague sold me for £3, so I reckon I'll just get cracking with that. :)

If you're getting Animal Crossing via the too many games promotion, if you log into club nintendo you'll find your download code.

AC is downloading for me as we speak!

Villagers will be different and can move between your friends towns and yours slight spoiler that I heard on a podcast this week

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
You can build a campsite just outside town and people will occasionally turn up there and you can then invite them into your town as long as you have less than 10 people there

fruit will be different (in town and also on the island)

And the postman here has delivered Luigi's mansion 2 , which I've put in and watched the intro for before realizing its one of those darker games that you cant really play outside - but it does mean I have my 3rd 'too many great games' code which i can put into the Nintendo website and will be crossing animals later tonight !

http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Misc-/Nintend ... 50393.html

You need to register 3 of the games by 30th of June 23:59 and then you have until 31st July 23:59 to claim your free game

My 3 were Luigi's Mansion 2 (which I know is going to be great) , Donkey Kong which although good I'm a little disappointed in , and Monster Hunter 3 (which I've not even started with)

I really want Fire Emblem , however with Animal crossing I will have about 5 or 6 3DS games to play so it can wait

I think i'm also done with New Super Mario Bros 2 - anyone interested in it ?

Its the German one from Lewie's deal but it is all in English (or any other European language you choose) the only difference is the back of the box text is in German and the little leaflet is also in German (although the in game manual is in the 6 European languages it supports)

£20

Playing through to finish the worlds and unlock the 2 basic special worlds is probably about 5 hours or so , its your bog standard 2d Mario game - good fun while it lasts but nothing special - the next part I would have to do is save up 90 coins to unlock star world but I'm only on about 40 and have too many other things to play with.

It also suffers with the same problem as all recent mario games that I think by the end of world 1 I had about 30 extra lives and by the end of the game I had about 150

I've just bought 4 3DS games, otherwise I would eat that up. Really can't afford another £20 too. Especially as the hype train is wooo-woooo-ing about Last of Us.

Maybe after the wedding, when things of calmed down I'll see if you still have it.

Do flog it if you can though.

I infiltrated by stealth! :D

I've had a lovely few hours on AC today. Have put down the deposit on my house so I think I can move in tomorrow, if I've understood Tom Nook correctly (though I think it wise to never trust that bugger).

I think one of my neighbours, a kangaroo or something, has taken a shine to me, but I don't mind, since he/she is friendly and gives me advice.

Really enjoying wandering along the beach and collecting shells. I know it's just a game, but found that genuinely relaxing, which probably sounds a little silly, but there you go.

Shall explore more tomorrow, and hopefully buy my first chair or bed for my house.

Fun times, and approx. 376% more exciting than my actual real life.

Ooh! Now, I've had trouble catching sharks so far. I've had at least three take a bite but wasn't able to land them. Have been catching regular fish okay, so sharks must need a bit more timing.

One of my neighbours in this had a live shark in a big tank in their house when I snooped around earlier, so I have made this my aim to end up with the same.

Yes, I missed one of the three large finned ones that appeared, too. But in my case I think it's because I get nervous and press too early!

It's easily the sort of game where you can lose hours in it, but on the other hand it's probably designed for half hour bursts here and there.

You mean the fishing rod? I bought one yesterday at the store run by Timmy & Tommy Nook. Also a spade, to start digging for fossils.

A net I acquired earlier today from Nat, who has appeared in town today to host the Bug Off competition, of which I am determined to win.

It's all about good timing and placing the hook wotsit just in front of the path they're swimming in. They will take two or three nibbles then a final one to take the hook below the water (listen out for a 'plop' sound), that's when you have to press and hold button A to reel the bugger in.

Is animal crossing on the ds still worth a go? There's a ds in a drawer around here somewhere and as always, as soon as people start enjoying a game I think it sounds like the most amazing thing ever.

I got no fish stick. Boo.

You mean the fishing rod? I bought one yesterday at the store run by Timmy & Tommy Nook. Also a spade, to start digging for fossils.

A net I acquired earlier today from Nat, who has appeared in town today to host the Bug Off competition, of which I am determined to win.

I was drunk when I write that. Yeah I got a net and shovel on day one, and a fishi g rod this morning.

Caught a royal butterfly (I forget its name) to nab me 106 points and first place in the bug comp. Caught a butterfly just before T-bone could. He looked pissed. Whoops. :S

I have oranges. I will give them to peeps.
