Shit GTA4 is out tomorrow

all these games.

Im sure this is going on in many, if not all peoples heads and was wondering which games will be put on delay and possibly never played again. Just starting this so people can recommend which games you really have to play or finish when you finally return from liberty city.

Xbox 360 games:

Frontlines
Viva Pinata
Flaout: Ultimate Carnage
Football Manager 2006
Half Life 2: Episode 2

Wii Games:

No More Heroes
Zack and Wiki

I'll probably play the wii games through since there from lovefilm and I dont want to think Im wasting my subscription, doubt Ill play much of the 360 games anymore, maybes finish frontlines and I really must finish episode 2 someday.

Oh god...

Halo 3 isn't even opened
Flatout : Ultimate Carnage isn't completed by any means (but is super awesome)
Sega Rally is barely started
Need for Speed Pro Street turned up from Gamefrenzy and so far I'm impressed.
Gran Turismo 5 P has a lot of grinding to do or a lot of "broken save file downloading and driving" to do.
Cars : mater national I got from sendit for £11 and I haven't opened it.
Bioshock still isn't completely finished.

And in the world of "not actually completeable".

Super Stardust HD I still can't finish a single planet but it's awesome.
Everyday shooter could suck hours
Trackmania United Forever is joy..

I still can't believe the fucking hoo-har about the Hot Coffee mod to the last game. Reclassified as 18? Madness. It'd be like classifying my computer as 18 because if I make the conscious choice, it can be used to look at boobs. It's not like you could accidentally stumble on the stuff in GTA. Hngngng.

Anyway, I'm only playing Deus Ex 2 at the moment, albeit with a high-def texture pack I found for improved-graphic fun.

Still haven't even completed twilight princess yet. I'm not much of a gamer, it must be said. I put batteries back in my wii remotes for the first time in months this weekend. Strangely, the remotes that weren't working properly with rechargable batteries now work just FINE with proper duracells in there.

I made a conscious effort to finish* Bully before getting GTA IV, because I knew I'd never go back to it otherwise.

Bioshock I've just sold because apart from the intro and the first level, I just wasn't enjoying it, and I've got enough FPS games to play at the moment.

* by finish I mean the story mode and most of the other stuff. I seem to have grown out of OCD to want to get 1000GP and 100%. I'm happy with 840GP and 85%.

It was always an 18 in the UK, it's only the US that reclassified it.

EDF - Not played through to the end yet on any setting
Doom - just over half way through, man I can't believe I'm enjoying it as much as I have been)
Burnout Paradise - get the next licence, on A already
REZ - Need to nail the final boss on Eden

Wii to do list:

Mario Kart - Barely touched it yet, but only had it a week
RE Umbrella Chronicles - Played less than half of it so far
Links Crossbow Training - Played less than half of it so far
Metroid Prime Corruption - Still in its shrink wrap!
Endless Ocean - Must play more of this

The above list makes me realise I'm a game buying obsessive freak, I WILL get GTA4 at the earliest convenience though.

The main issue I had with that is that Rockstar spent an age going 'it was just a mod that some other people have made for the PC version, nothing to do with us' and then when we the public found it on the console versions with Action Replay cartridges they didn't even say 'yeah, we're lying cunts. Sorry'.

A million times yes. Best £3.50 I've ever spent. It's made me fully believe that at least some FPS games released today should drop the y axis. It's so much better.

yeah Doom is great. quite odd as a I never really dabbled with it in its prime and normally old 3D games tend to age appallingly.

Another vote for Doom here. It's especially good playing 4-player co-op with Mr Dave, Meat Angle and RichardGaywood (except when Dave decides to race through the levels before myself and Rich have found our way out of the first room...)

I think you're all insane. imo Doom has aged terribly and to my eyes is now just a pixellated nonsense.

Won't deny it was magnificent in its day, though. I remember many a pointlessly wasted hour with the map editor creating some seriously silly maps. Domino-exploding barrels, and such.

Tsh, and we never even did episode 4.
(I did find my dominance of the deathmatch games quite amusing - I've now just got to figure out how to do that in CoD4)

Also, I have the same thing as Mr Dave in that I fail miserabley at most FPS such as CounterStrike, but LAN centre DOOM 2 I was the undisputed King of DooM. Odd that.

It just plays so nicely and has a strange creepiness about it. I'd rather have pixilated playability than pretty boredom in a game.

I finally polished off Dead Rising yesterday after it languishing for a couple of months. So that just leaves me with:

Crackdown (1 bloody agility orb to find)
Virtua Tennis 3 (last doubles game to win)
Test Drive Unlimited (still haven't bought myself an A-class car)
EDF (about halfway through)
Halo 3 (barely started)
Sega Rally (barely touched)

Oh, there's also UR MR GAY (my much-delayed copy of which arrived, with perfect timing, yesterday) Resident Wiivil 4 and the lovely, lovely Dragon Quest VIII on the PS2.

Not as bad as I expected, actually.

Ditto. I keep nosing on Ebay for cheap stuff for the site and end up picking up 360 games for myself. Four last week and two last night (Assassins' Creed for £9 and Condemned 2 for £15.. barg!) but I need more time to actually sit and play them.

At least I've finally started Super Mario Galaxy and I'm glad I have - there aren't many games that make me smile but this one does it all the time.
