HELP ME

I'M GOING INSANE.

I distinctly remember, as a youthful youth, reading my Amiga's SWOS manual. (Not euro or 96/97). I also remember, quite distinctly, it telling me that after tapping the button to pass if I pressed up the player would run onto the ball and if I pressed down he would stop and receive, in addition to the aftertouch. Looking through all the manuals I can find online, including RevStu's funny-o-dition and even trying this in the XBLA version has resulted in FAILURE. All my little dudes stop and recieve. I'm 100% sure they could be made to run ahead onto the ball.

Did I just make this up? Have I invented a VITALLY IMPORTANT part of my childhood?!

If you put aftertouch on your passes it'll make the player run on to it.

Try pressing A to make them run onto it. Pressing A does everything else in the game, so if there's a way to do it, it'll be pressing A.

As the self proclaimed SWOS champion of the board, I can say with some degree of accuracy that I've never heard of this.

I've always thought that passing was just a matter of tapping A (or the fire button) and then the guy who's being passed to would react automatically to the situation.

Ahem. As the crowned champion I too have never heard of this. And I am a bit of a reader of manuals. Though also quite forgetful.

Ramsea's opinion now, please, for the full house.

As the inaugural champion, I agree with the self-proclaimed and current champions.

If you put aftertouch on the pass it'll swerve away from the player, forcing the player to run onto it, though.

As someone who only just lost to the self-proclaimed champion, I concur.
