SVP used to be great and when i was buying and using lots of media i got virtually all of it from them , however at some point in the last few years the previous owners sold the company and the new lot seem to have messed everything up.

I had already stopped with them because i have a few boxes of blank CD's / DVD's and virtually never use them now but i've read lots of stuff about them giving poor customer service (when before they were one of the top) , poor quality products , poor packaging etc etc.

If i was you i'd have used Novatech (and they are close enough that you could have gone out to collect on the bus or train and made a day of it)

Yeah but don't forget to get his claws clipped first. I came out in quite a rash last time.

Pompey yes? Yeah I saw that last night.. It's about an hour on the train and £14 return. Not terrible of course..

Thing is, SVP do the Rad 4890 1gb (in the ATI plastic shroud heatsink thing) for £136 and del is £4. The cheapest I could find one was £135 second hand on videocardshop. And I really want to get away from the second hand GPU thing tbh. Esp after the experience with the 280. Still, hopefully SVP won't screw me but I'll probably not order from them again.

There's a pigeon outside that sounds like it has some sort of dump valve. Really, really strange.

Edit: it's either that or it has a laser on its head.

Maybe he's had one of those trachy things where they stick a tube in your windpipe?

Or hes been on the fuel and is boosting.

We need to register .il and .yj as cc TLD aliases for .uk.

Could I be first to demand that this is renamed Bits 'N Bobs please. It doesn't parse as anything else & I will likely ignore it. It's also cliquey and confusing to people visiting the site infrequently.

Right, so Blogger are stopping FTP support.

So I converted my blog from Blogger to Wordpress. Took a good few hours, but most of that was messing around with themes and sorting out my categories. All went surprisingly smoothly.

But if you subscribe to my blog's RSS feed you'll need to update the link to -

Quote:
The Weston & Somerset Mercury
"MAGISTRATES have punished a Weston man for having a noisy dog - by banning him from driving.

Terence Kingston will not be allowed behind the wheel for three weeks after his dog was heard barking 532 times in a 30-minute period by an environmental protection officer.

The 57-year-old was brought to North Somerset Courthouse after the offence at his Ullswater Close home, which saw his dog woof an average of once every 3.4 seconds.

North Somerset Council's executive member for environmental protection, Councillor Peter Bryant, said: "While the magistrates may not have imposed a financial penalty they have still inconvenienced him by imposing a driving disqualification, which I fully applaud."

Before the offence, which took place in July 2009, Mr Kingston had been told to stop his dog making such a racket in August 2008.

But he failed and was fined £875 and ordered to pay £871.44 for two breaches of the noise abatement notice the following March."

Interesting approach.....

I slept really well last night, woke up at several points and felt incredibly well rested and then realized it was only, say, 4am and I had another two hours in bed.

Harsh though it may sound, I'm glad I departed the Bezzie Burny Pee session when I did.

Always heart-warming to log into facebook to see that some friends have joined groups supporting the EDL and stuff like 'You live in our country, speak our f**king language!'

Heart-warming may be the wrong word here.
