So I've got a job again, and I am looking for a laptop that can play all those games that dont come out for xbox and also tufty 2.

Well I say all them games I dont expect to play crysis and I imagine most the other games that need super-duper specs are on the xbox. I was originally going to get a new ion chip netbook but I've noticed its going to cost me 400 quid and thought 'fuck it' I just want the best specs for 400-450 quid.

So best specs, and a hdmi port would be ideal. Has anyone seen any good deals about?

Do you want a gaming laptop or a laptop that can play games?

I highly doubt that would run STALKER with that GPU.

You're not going to get a laptop that can play the ever fairly recent games for that money. You're not actually going to get a good laptop for that money.

Standard question: Are you sure you can't have a desktop?

Na I've no place for a desk. Could possibly get one that could hook up to my telly I guess though.
A google of the graphics card suggests it can handle COD4 and half life 2 and similar.

Half Life 2 is more than five years old now, so I should bloody well hope so.

Check out (of all places) PC World - main UK distributor for refurbished HP laptops such as this one.
£799 instead of £1,174, with bluray, 4GB, decent gfx card etc.

See Im not really loving forking out over 300 quid for a desktop when I'll still be using my Xbox mostly. I wouldn't mind paying 400 odd for a lappy because I'll be able to use it other places aswell. But not for a desktop.

£300 on the nose. Wanna know the funny part? It'll shit on laptops at over twice the cost.

Quick OC of the CPU by a couple of hundred mhz and it's bellend in gaming mitt for £300.

I agree with John Coffey. Gaming on laptops is rubbish.

Because it's a PC and you should be doing spreadsheets and making Burt Tanks and shit.
