That's about the worst thing I've read about Apple actually, and it's pretty troubling if true. Even though, probably not that unusual for high tech gadget companies.

I'd hope it's exaggeration from someone with an axe to grind. The office lockdown, confiscation of phones thing certainly doesn't sound cool though.

There are rebuttals in the comments from other Apple employees. Sure, they are only anonymous commenters, but then the article is written under anonymity anyway.

Yep I was just reading those. Some are written under what appear to be real names too. Which I doubt would be the case if they were under the terror of the STASI or whatever the article claims.
