Is a Fucking Bus a bit like the Bang Bus?

That is pretty awesome Grim.... How much do those things weigh?

Dunno, to be honest. It was on of these:

It's the rope that did most of the work, to be fair.

I don't know about that model, but some quick interneting seems to suggest that single-decker buses weigh about 12-15 tonnes. That's a whole lot of bus to lug up a hill.

Just had to apply the Jeremy Clarkson principle to get Mrs Chinny's car up the track. I had told her to text me before she left work so I could clear the track. Instead of doing this she got halfway up and got stuck on ice. Had to turn the ESP off and power my way out as she'd done a good job of polishing the compacted ice and snow.

The Audi is shit on the snow though. Think it's the budget tyres the previous owner stuck on it. I had no problems earlier in the Golf with the ESP neatly kicking in when I lost traction (Golf diesel=fuck load of torgue).

Torque is good / bad in the snow, though.
It's great for burbling along at tickover and pulling away in second, but makes it much easier to spin the tyres up when applying a little throttle.

I have to continue to give mad props to the constantly surprising Mundano, which handles superbly in the snow. Like the Chinster, it has a bucketload of torque and a magic traction-control system that just says "look, you're being a dick, we're going to carry on at this speed" when you cram your foot down.
I'm going to be quite sad when I have to give it back next year :(

Warning: Tiff Needle Dick and Fifth Gear alert. Other than that, quite a interesting piece even if Tiff really doesn't appear to be trying that hard with the ESP system off:
