I'm struggling with these, as I think that there should be just the 1 for game thread topic icon. Do you agree? If so, which one?

The controller is my fave, then the Space Invaders, but I like them all - Maybe we can have the controller for gaming talk, Space Invader for retro gaming talk and Pacman for, er... People who like eating chicken nuggets?

I want a Burnout car for Burnout talk, and I want a Forza car for Forza talk. Each must be distinct so as to avoid confusion.

Also, Braille versions for blind people, so they aren't left out. ;)

I like them all too. I thought of the retro-and-modern gaming one but I guess that doesn't make sense really.

Maybe keep the ones you remove as dimlies? So that people can still use them, even though they aren't post topic icons any more.
