I currently have one of these but unfortunately its more than a bit shit. It clogs mercilessly, and emptying it requires you to lift off the top making the whole thing a bit of a bastard hassle.

Does anyone have a fairly decent, easily emptyable hardcore shredder they can recommend?

Hahahaha :metul:

I've got my eye on this at the moment, with the added bonus that it comes with a free 4-wireless phone set.

I'll come over and personally cut all of your bits of paper into tiny squares with a pair of scissors for £200.

It does seem a lot, which is doubtlessly why I bought a £40 shredder to start with. But it really is naff, it can't cope with too much paper and I get so miffed with the whole thing that I now can't be arsed to shred any of it.

I should point out I shred a *lot* of stuff. Anything with my name on it, pretty much.

I used to shred a lot, until I started just ripping out the bits with my name or address on them and just shredding those bits. The rest goes in the recycle box, natch.

The free phone set that comes with it (Panasonic KX-TG9150) is worth at least £76. I think I'm sold. :)

Lloyds are also paper-free, but only for personal accounts. I still get a load of crap from the business end.

I expressely told my bank to keep sending me paper statements every month. WATCH AS I DESTROY YOUR WORLD.

I also have a cheapo shredder from Wilkinsons, which is okay if I want something completely destroyed, but I usually just tear out my address bit and recycle the rest. IF I FEEL INCLINED TO DO SO.

Which is of course excellent right up until you move house and they require 3 months statements.

Awesome, and I'd totally buy them if I only had a couple of things to shred a month, otherwise I can see it being a laborious pain in arse.

Anyway, I've ordered the above shredder and rang Viking and haggled for a quad-set of phones instead of the single one. :)
