I'm sure we have all seen those quizzes where you have to figure out that "366 D in a L Y" means "366 days in a leap year" and "206 B in the H B" means "206 bones in the human body". Well my girlfriend has got one from work and I've been trying to help. After getting about 70% of them she finally let me free on to Google and we have now answered most of them.

However there are some that have me stumped and no amount of googling is helping. So that where I'm hoping you guys/gals can help. Plus I think it would be fun if we have these occasional quizzes.

I'm not expected to get them all because some of the ones I've got are quite obscure. For example "8 D a W (in the B S)" I think might mean "8 Days a Week (in the Beatles Song)". Anyway, to the questions!

12 on the E F
2 L in a P of T
25 C in a D
25 W on an A C
3 P for a T (3 Players/People for a Trio?)
3 P on an E P
4 Q in a M
36,400 M in a L Y
9 S in N a C

So any suggestions would be gratefully received and nicked in order to help my girlfriend.

Also here is a bonus one I got but bugged the hell out of me because it seemed so familiar.

No, that's not right. only because there is a song that goes '525,600 minutes' in some musical I did as a yoof that talk about the minutes in a year.

I tried miles in a light year, to - nowhere near, hehe.

I also tried both of those. Miles in a light year is approx 150 million, so we're a bit off. ;)

i don't think this is correct as it would be 3 P in a T (Three people in a trio) rather than 'for a'.

Not sure about this, haven't heard of "12 on the Eastern Front" before but it is better than I could come up with.

36,400 is such an odd number that you would of thought it would be obvious. Why can't google do wild card searches :(

36400 = (52 x 7 x 100) if that helps anyone. I still can't see where it's going though. Can't think what 1/100th of a week is.

Yes, there are 364 days in a leap year, so that's 364 x 100 - a hundred of something in every day in a leap year?

What happens 100 times every day beginning with M?

366, I'm afraid. The year is 365.24ish days long.

I dunno... just thigns often score points in threes. Alas, not for anything I can think of that begins with a T.

Stupid question...

3 points for a triangle?

No, I thought that also, but it would be 'three points/corners' ON a triangle, surely?

There are lots of nearly ones for that... you could feasibly use bar-speak to have "three parts for a triple"... etc.

If I ever make a list like this I am definitely having 99 P (B a B A O)

Excellent work (though I'd argue that there are in fact 24 windows on an advent calendar, usually, but I still think that your guess may be right)

When do we find out the results, BlueCup?

Some of the advent calenders I've seen recently have 31, one for each day up to New Year. This is probably Political Correctness Gone Mad though, so should be ignored.

they usually call them 'games' though, don't they?

I am unsure - I hardly have expertise in the field of American sports...

I am also highly suspicious of the advent calendar answer. Any of them with more than 24 windows are WRONG!

Results at the end of the month hopefully.

To balance things out I will try and get some of the easier questions we have got and put them up. Some I can remember

1 R to R T A
1 S S for M, 1 G L for M
3 B B (S H T R)
