So, I'm trying to find out more about my new town, so end up reading an online version of William the Bastard's top-selling 'Domesday Book' to see what was said about it over 900 years ago, as you do. Some entries had a modern note attached to add more information, usually geographical in nature. I was intrigued by the next entry on the #bicester" class="postlink">web page I was looking at:
