Okay, serious bit now that that's out of the way.

Are there any more that people want or can think we'll need? I've tried to cover all the bases, and we've got a Misc and Book ones waiting to be codefucked in. Any ideas for things you'd rather see as alts of the ones I've done? I've done UMPTEEN of these because of the limitations of 19px high images :( so nowt too complicated, like.

Maybe a 'computer' one would be good (although that's normally a RMD).

I could try to do a zomblie instead, I suppose. Difficult to get the flesh sloughing off correct in little images though.

Moaning is a good idea. Very good.

Maybe an all encompassing compy one, aye, to indicate gadgetry and so forth.

I'm not quite sure what the zombie would represent, tbh.

One with a camera in front of a Dimlie's face for photographic threads, perhaps.

Is there one for reference threads (such as lists/gamertags, etc?)

Perhaps one for death threads. you know how people like to lament the lives of famous people that have shuffled off the mortal coil... perhaps a Zombie Dimlie (too crass?)

EDIT: Oooh - much support for zombie Dimlies... Great minds, etc etc...

An apocalyptic 'breaking news' one, that will send a shiver down the spine of all readers when they see it, that will only be employed on momentous occassions.

eg:

Thatcher dead
Buckingham Palace bombed
Nuclear attack
Final 100% replacement of original Last of Summer Wine cast combined with new series announcement

@The Meemster: Possibly getting a little too specific with those. The reference one is the Little Professor meant as a guide, like. Nice broad categories is best, so possible an artistic one could cover photo/art/video what i done/doodle threads.

@Nervypete: I quite like the news one we've got for that. Nonchalantly reading the paper "oh, I see Thatcher's dead" in a off hand manner :D

I think someone was talking abut lists the other day, CUS - either a place to put all list threads or something in the title to make lists searchable (I forget, I am useless at remembering anything for more than an hour or so...)

Most people I have known that smoke spliffs are not very wacky/crazy when they are doing so. Just slurry and a bit boring to be around.

Oh, I didn't realise we were suggesting for thread tagging, I thought they were for general use as well.

I agree, but I was thinking it could be used in a "huuuh, what are you smoking man??!?" type of way. Although on reflection I hate it when people do that so I retract the request.

Humming looks quite different to whistling, usually. Whistling requires the pursing of lips, as if you were trying to kiss a very small bumblebee, whereas when you hum you have a look of benign contentment.

I have only kissed very small bumblebees, so I wouldn't know.

I used to have a friend that was a bumblebee - he sung in a note a lot higher than most bees - he went 'zweeeeeeeeeee zweeee zweeeeeee', so we called him 'Comedy Bee' as he was always laughing. That was at the old house. I miss him :'(

Anyway, the Dimlies are great, clearly - even allowing me to express my bee sadness :(

Is there a reason that the new post icon Dimlies can not also be used as smilies under the 'view more smilies' tab? Might be an idea, they are so cute, after all

I'd like to add a belated "Huzzah!" to both Dimrill and Grim... for all this stuff. Much appreciated fellas. If you're ever in my corner of south east surrey, I'll buy both of you a pint and some pork scratchings ( or Scampi Fries, if you prefer).

I did think the Pacman topic post was vomiting at first, rather than eating pills.

There must be a line drawn somewhere, otherwise we'll end up communicating entirely in Dimglish.

Whilst the new dimlies are cool, I find it hard to differentiate between them when looking at the forum index. I have to study each glpyh to figure out how it different from the one above. How about introducing colours other than blue, or is that sacrilege?

Also: The angst in this thread is amusing.

Unless you can whistle through your teeth, as I can. It came in very useful when bored during exams in school (the best trick was picking a random person and stopping when a teacher walked past them), and confusing/annoying people at work, but little else.
