Last night I had a dream involving all the Beex'ers.

I dreamt that it was the summer holidays and Russell and I were staying with his dad and his dad's girlfriend, but that everything was very rigid and tense there, so difficult with a baby.

After a while I could take no more, as it wasn't fair in Darwin. DBSnapper had a five or six year old daughter, so we went to spend summer with him, whilst Russell stayed on with his dad. DB's daughter liked playing with Darwin, DB was an ace cook. All was happy except I was only seeing Russell once every week or two because he was stuck at the other end of the country.

So we decided to borrow a large static caravan. DB and his little girl were there, and Russell, myself and Darwin. We were just happy and excited and unpacking when Russell's dad and his partner turned up, expecting to stay the vacation with us. Nooooooooooooooo!

Then Zardoz and MarkG turned up and said we should drive to the coast for the day. Brill. We got into Zardoz's car (no idea where DB or Russell's dad got to at this point) and wee were driving g through the countryside when Z starts picking up great speed. At the end of this huge hill road is a massive oak with drunk about 8-10 feet across, and he's speeding towards it, flooring the pedal. We are calling g to him to stop. He wants to jump the tree, but it's clear we never will and that it's about to be the end. I say a silent goodbye to the ones I love and close my eyes, and wake up crying.

Thanks for nothing, Zardoz.

We hit 88kph, went back in time and collected Trilobites.

And saw all the other lesser Beexers, doing boring shit.

The end.

I have a recurring dream where I'm hanging off the top of a relatively tall building with one hand. Weirdly, I'm always aware that - although the building is tall enough for me to see the people in the streets below as insect-sized, which would make it at least a hundred feet high by my estimation - I always have the impression that I could just let go of the building and fall into the street below without injury, and join in again with the street-level people.

"Dream analysts", I've always thought, are full of shit. People have different drives and motivations and stuff; you can't simply say that a dream about (x) is an indication of (y) because there's all these different connections, which inevitably will vary from person to person, depending on experience. But I'm kind of coming around to it; I think there might be recurrent tropes that affect us all.

But if not for that recurring dream - which is so patently obvious in its meaning, symbolism and such stuff (i.e. I'm kind of choosing to cling to a precarious existence rather than re-joining mainstream society, but still feel that I could do either, etc.) that I'm starting to think there might be something to it.

So, for all the amateur psychologists out there, would you consider my reading of the dream relatively accurate, or do you think there are other layers to explore? This sort of stuff sort of fascinates me.

Last nights dream involved a meet up at Pupils flat where we were planning an outing then all became obsessed with his new portable stereo that played MP3s from tape! It even had an integrated wooden tape drawer on the bottom. We all headed off in separate cars and I went to pick up someone else in Yorkshire in the van that I don't have. In the middle of getting lost I also had to pull into a lay by to adjust the vans handlebars as they kept dropping as I drove.

2 dreams I've had recently, the first about a week ago, was about how Stephen Hawking had died, it was essentially just me in my kitchen listening to the radio whilst cooking some sausages, the radio then announced that Stephen Hawking had died and listed all the things that he had done in his life time, and how he'd struggled against motor neurone disease and then Brian Cox came on and said his favourite memory was him doing the ice bucket challenge with him, and the problem it caused for Stephen's wheelchair afterwards, and how 2 famous scientists hadn't forseen that throwing a bucket of water over an electric wheelchair might be problematic, and then he burst into tears and they cut away.

It was quite realistic, and when I actually woke up I thought it was true for a bit and had to check to make sure it hadn't happened.

Then last night my dream was that I'd gone on holiday with my family to New York, and we were waking around Central Park when it was announced that there was a major incident happening, various cities had announced they were not going to listen to Donald Trump, and they were just going to do their own thing, Trump had decided to threaten them with nukes if they didn't start doing what he said. New York had called his bluff, so he'd gotten the USAF to land a helicopter in the park and unload a nuclear weapon with a massive countdown clock on it.

There was hardly any panic, and the New Yorkers were saying they'd rather die than listen to Trump any more, they'd had enough of him, and most thought he wouldn't do it, because of Trump Tower being in NY, but it was announced that a 30 minute timer had been set, most of the tourists started to leave, but New Yorkers were continuing about their business, we were directed to what looked like an underground bunker, but was in fact a rocket powered tube train, I was with my daughter, and my wife had gone to collect my sons, who were out doing their own shopping. We were told that the rocket tube train would leave 5 minutes before the bomb timer reached 0, so I was willing my wife and the kids to hurry up, they finally arrived, and they were then loitering outside it, because they wanted to take some pictures of NY before it blew up. I shouted at them to get in before the train left without them. The doors closed, and the thrusters on the train failed to fire, the countdown on the bomb was still ticking down, and had just got to 60 seconds when I woke up!

I read that you can't die in your dreams because your mind has no way to process it, and you always wake up either before or as you die.

No idea how true that is though.

I've died in my dreams loads. Don't remember it ever bothering me that much. Maybe it depends how you feel about the concept, which probably sounds more morbid than I intend

I was in St Peter's Square in Manchester (probably dreaming about this because I'd recently seen a video of the new section of Metro line through the city centre) and I seem to have been trying to move some branches from a small tree that were on the ground. I have no idea why. I heard the sound of jet engines and when I looked up, three jet fighters were flying overhead.

Then I saw another aircraft, that I firstly thought was another jet fighter, but it was doing lots of twists and loops to instead of just passing by. As I watched it, it dove down and landed in the square, coming to a stop close to me. It had no landing gear, it just slid to a halt on its hull, which resembled something like a small flat bottomed boat and I noticed it had an open cockpit, with a couple of drawers to the rear. Some guy that I knew was leaning against the stern of the ship and opened one of the drawers to get something out. At this point I noticed the pilot of the ship. It was a female, and had the facial characteristics of an African woman, with quite a wild mop of curly hair, but her skin and hair were both light green, so clearly she was an alien.

I had a brilliant dream I was with all my friends and we had hit upon a scheme whereby we were going to charge billionaires millions for trips into space. But lacking rockets or anything we were actually just going to convince them they had been into space. So we had hired out a function room in the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool and we'd made this black tunnel out of cardboard and stuff which we were going to push them through on office chairs. And then we were stood outside arguing because nobody could remember the number of the room we had hired out and I had left my shoes in there too.

I dreamt I was in a takeaway getting a burger and the chap in front of me ordered a large donner kebab with "long strips". Turns out that this meant instead of cutting the bits of donner vertically, they'd cut it in a single spiral so this man had a donner kebab made out of a single, 30ft long, strip of kebab meat. Very odd.

Ah yes, that reminds me...

Two or three nights ago I had a very vivid dream. Mark, Baz (Tinkers) and I were on holiday in Mexico.

We got split up one evening as Mark was hungry, Baz wanted to score some Peyote and I wanted to walk out onto the beach (in the near dark) to take photos of the sand sculptures. After much admiring and snapping I walked back up the beach to the bar they said they were going to try their luck in. I found them at a table with plates and plates of weird food. Mark said "No one understands a work of English here and this is all the stuff they've made as I've tried to describe a bacon and egg sandwich to them!" The closest thing they made, which Mark offered to me, was two fried eggs with bacon in between. Baz hadn't scored any peyote but their were glasses of local booze on the table. Which was nice.

I had a dream featuring loads of people last night. It was Cottage, but Cottage was this huge mansion/castle. We were all around a big log Fire in a candlelit stone fireplace. I hadn't been sleeping properly. MaliA said he could help anyone fall asleep because he could talk so calmly. He knelt beside me and started telling me a story about a frog that lost his voice, and I nodded to sleep. I was warm and wanted to get to bed, but Grim was laying in the doorway and said that if anyone came or went from the room they had to slide along his body. I tried, but he was difficult to get by do I felt more tired. Craster said he'd take me to a circus instead, as trying to climb over Grim had woken me up. We went to a big theatre where there was an artistic circus troupe and were in the front row, then everyone else sat behind us and had giant hotdogs and massive burgers, and Curio gave me a milkshake that was four different colours in a spiral of colours.
