I want to transfer the music on my iPod to iTunes on my MacBook. I don't want to lose the music on my iPod or replace the music already on iTunes. The music on the iPod was transferred from another iTunes library on a PC that is no longer with us.

There are a few programs offering this service but the ones I have tried are either flawed or not free. Does anyone know of a program or technique that works?

iDump always worked for me. Not sure about Mac compatability, and it doesn't work on iPhone without payzeez

Could you not just turn it into file transfer mode? Then add them to the itunes library from the pc. (I don't own an ipod/itunes).
