64668. Admittedly the game wouldn't work for me, but in those cases making a score up is valid. Just ask Judge Judy. |

Canabalt out for iPhone now. £1.79 seems rather dear, but I've had so much fun with the web version, that it would churlish not to pay that price. I reckon I'm paying a quid for the iPhone version, with a bonus 79p tip to the devs for the fun I've had from the online one. |

Post subject: | Re: Wednesday's Flash Game: Canabalt |
Be interesting to see what their sales are like at £1.79. Despite it being bargainous considering the amount of fun most people get from it, it's significantly higher than other games, and that'll work against it. |

I wouldn't mind if it tweeted something interesting. Hi scores are just lame, though. -edit Imagine if a game tweeted '@myoptika is struggling in a firefight against some aliens in AlienShooter 6 - go and help him!' That'd be pretty cool. |

I, unsurprisingly, like game tweets. I like to see my friends' Canabalt scores pop up, especially as they're lower than mine. |

The Rev Owen wrote: I, unsurprisingly, like game tweets. When fully 3/4s of your updates are game tweets, though, you have to admit it's getting to feel a bit spammy. I agonised over whether my wordpress blog should publish to my twitter or not, and that's less than one a week -- and I refuse to link my tumblr to my twitter, because that's one a day. I think @thatrevgames is the right idea. Split your autogenerated and hand-crafted content and then people can choose to follow one or both. |

What would be quite cool is if the Xbox 360 Twitter client could be integrated into the games themselves. That way you could not only invite players who happen to be logged into Live at the time, but also the Twittersphere at large. |

And that's with the game being all new - obviously getting a high score is going to happen less and less often as time goes on. |

It's hardly like I've been spamming one out every five minutes. |

Oh, it felt like more. Anyway, I think a second account is the perfect answer to the question, accept it leads to the "why are OpenFeint" so shit question. Idiots. They have my main Twitter account too; so now I either have to not play OpenFeint games, email them, or change my Twitter password. Jesus wept. |

I opened the support request, which was an incredibly stupid process. You have to have faith that you're making a private "discussion" because it looks like you're just publishing to the public forum. And then it asks you to read articles that are either irrelevant or you've already read before confirming your "discussion" and when you try it reckons you failed the captcha, because there wasn't one on that page, so you have to do it again and ARGH! I should have just emailed the chap I know at OpenFeint who emailed me about all the previous issues I've had with them. |

Also, the last 20 tweets in my friends feed came through in the last twenty minutes. About one a minute, twenty four hours a day. If you use Twitter less than me, I guess game tweets might stand out a bit more. |

It won't. That's only for apps you've hooked into the (new) OAuth system. Older apps, and many current ones, simply have your password. OpenFeint is one of those latter kind. |
