Idk, but it makes me feel a bit queasy, like when I cook prawns or crabs.

How good would the "Pathetic Sharks" be if they were zombies!

I'm sometimes concerned that some people haven't watched Zombi yet.

Not quite at the end yet (1/5 left) but 'World War Z' is fucking great.

If you could play through ANY of the scenarios described by the survivors in the interviews it would be 100 times better than L4D as a game.

Brilliant stuff, thanks for the recommend BeeXerS.

Is it scary? I see that they are releasing a film next year so I would rather read the book first. Might order it, but...is it scary?

...it depends really. Not many graphic descriptions of individual attacks, but the scenarios described, the length of the war and the impact on the environment and humanity itself is where the shocks come.

Just get it.

The zombies in RE5 are awesome. Especially the ones that ride the motorbikes ;)

I don't know how the hell they'd cram it into a film. Each chapter deserves it's own really.

Finished World War Z yesterday, and while Mrs Z was on Amazon I asked her to get me The Zombie Survival Guide.

Still have a my HP Lovecraft Necronomicon to read yet, but what else should I be looking at? I'm mainly asking Morte and Dimrill here as they only talk gold in these matters.

See in L4D and the like. Where do the zombies go when you've killed them? I've never really noticed, and you should be neck deep in bits of undead corpses by the time you've done a few hordes.

I quite enjoyed "Monster Island" by David Wellington. It has some interesting ideas such as how to become an intelligent zombie and it's not a bad romp. However don't bother with the other two in the series as it becomes more and more nonsense and mystical.

I've not had much experience of zombie literature but I know that Mr Dimmers holds 'City of the Dead' by Brian Keene in high regard.

It's a terrible thing to admit to, but I haven't read this many books* since I was in full time education. I suppose I do read plenty of internet and magazines though.

*and I include graphic novels

If you can find it cheaper, this is an awesome book. Can't believe it's going for nigh on 300 quid though, I bought mine for thirty 4 or 5 years ago. The Book of the Dead is also great for reference.

Whilst playing CoD5 last night my good friend Bob in Australia popped on and asked if I'd like a go of the Nazi Zombie thing. I thought it was unlocked on completion of the main game, but no!

What a lovely thing it is too. Like Horde mode in GoW2, the Zombies (and I'd like to point out here they are slow and shambly ) approach in ever increasing waves.

What I like is the points/upgrades/fortification system: Shoot Z's for points, spend points on better weapons or reinforcing the windows that are constantly being smashed by Z's and unlock doors to other parts of the building your holding when your getting over run.

Overall I'm very impressed with this mode, I demand it gets bezzied.

I'ld play Zombie Nazi's with you. Until it's on goozey at least.

Also: it doesn't cost money to rebuild defences, it actually earns you a small amount.

Oh right. How many players can join in on the Zombie mode? I think if we can get 3 or 4 it would be awesome.

I hope you like it Gill.

My copy of The Zombie Survival Guide arrived early this week from Amazon, that's good so far too. Then I think I'll get City of the Dead.

I saw Zombie Survival Guide as well, they were both buy one get one half price in Borders, but just as I turned to Jen to ask her if I could get it I noticed a dissaproving look flicker across her face and quickly amended my question to ask her if she would like to choose a new book as well.

Gill yin, I think I still have the Zombie Survival Guide somewhere. I'll have a look later if I remember.
