If you are not coming, I don't care, and may even DELETE YOUR POST*.

So.

I am coming.

*BOOSE! BOOOOOOSE!

THE LIST
Moi
Craster
The Rev Owen

Easy tube ride for me as well, unless someone wants to offer a better route, I was going to do Marylebone to elephant and castle, then up to london bridge. But Marylebone -> Baker street -> Moorgate -> London Bridge looks better.

Someone tell me, please!

Walk to Baker Street (it's about 3 minutes away), get the Jubilee line to London Bridge.

Done.

It looks like I'm almost definitely going to be there, but won't have much cash for drinks, so I'll just slope of to the bar for a beer now and again, rather than getting involved in any rounds-based drinking fun, I'm afraid.

Anyway, I've not met any of you before, so just look out for the fat bloke with a beard. Oh, um...

It has been said before that not having money for drinks is never an excuse for not being present at a meet-up, because drinks appear by magic. This remains the case.

Turning up and finding Grim... Craster et al THERE would be infinitely more disappointing though.

Pending my resolution of some logistical challenges, I'm in.

I'm also going to stay in London over the weekend. I'm chasing a few mates I've not seen in ages, and am quite happy doing touristy things (the Science and War museums for example). Thinking I might eat somewhere posh on Sat night, so if Craster/Curio/whoever wants to recommend somewhere/join me, that'd be nice. Otherwise I might just go to the Palace of Infinite Meat, seeing as how Grim... boasts of it so.

Sounds very filling but less than 1 calorie per serving.

There was a place like that near where I lived in Houston. It was heaven.

I have to say, I found it more of a challenge than expected. It was properly fantastic, but I feel I didn't entirely do it justice.

Nope. It was outside, under the majestic Teton mountains, with a one-legged mayor marrying us and then a traditional Native American blessing with smoking and everything. It was awesome.

Holy Shit indeed! At least that means you two must be happy.

My hurty-wurty-leggy-weggy means I won't be there I'm afraid. Last time I went to the pub it lead to a blood blister that detached all the newly formed skin, making me housebound for a month (& counting). You're not worth it I'm afraid.

(This isn't a careful way to avoid buying Grim and Craster the pints I owe them... Oh no!)

Heh, in Mr Chris fashion, it's 99% likely I can't make it now, after having received my timetable. I've got stuff up to late afternoon on Friday (Westlaw and LexNex training) and although I would skip it, they are taking register and then to get from college to home to london would mean I wouldn't get there until about 9pm and going straight from college on the Oxford Tube isn't really a viable option atm (will check in a second).

Well, we enjoy each other's company. And hardly ever go out, anyway. Cinema once every month or two, a single drink each at the pub slightly less often than that. We did go and have two drinks each at the pub a while back, mind. I think that was my birthday in July.

Coincidentally, she just had her first night out without me - going to see Tori Amos with a friend a couple of of weeks ago.

Hmm, I better be careful on Friday, actually, given that I basically average about two units of alcohol a month these days. I doubt I can put away eighteen pints of Guinness and still get myself home any more.

3 years without a night apart and either me or my wife would be fertilising the garden by now.

That's a coincidence - I've spent the last three years fertilising your wife.
