These include some of my digital art too, to be fair, but most of my photos get put on one or other.
Recently I've been too ill/had a poorly ankle and have not been able to get out and about.

I'm having to cope with a standard digital camera atm.

Your 'Icy Cave' picture in the Caedes gallery is one of the prettiest things I have seen in a long time - it looks like a lovely location. Where is it?

I'm a bit confused here, are we supposed to be showing off our photos here, or uploading them to Picasa? I thought the idea was to anonymously upload them, but it looks like only Cathy has bothered and she's posted them here as well.

Last question (promise), the photos already on there are barely 100K each (if that), but some of the ones I have lying around are a couple of meg. Should I resize them, or is that something Picasa does automatically, or should I just leave them altogether?

Joans - upload your pictures full-sized to Picasa.

The pictures shown on here are people's past water-themed pictures which they are not entering into the challenge due to them being older shots.

hehe, no, don't worry about it, cathy - I think that this will be a good trial run of the system, it might need tweaking, and after all it is all just for fun - don't feel too weighed down with rules to make it unenjoyable

I'll clarify this in the first post, but I think this is how it should best work.

1]Take a picture, based on the theme (think direct, think laterally - it doesn't matter - it's your idea and creativity that people are looking forward to seeing)

2]Upload it anonymously to the Picasa account (obviously, don't call it 'Mimi's picture of water' or anything too obvious

3]try not to make it too obvious that a picture is yours in particular by announcing your upload, etc.

I'll sort the rest out on closing day - I will make a poll and open a thread for voting and discussion, mutual admiration and praise-type goodness

Thanks Mimi, I think I know what's going on now. I won't post any of my old photos, but if I take any new ones I know what to do with them.

Can people caption their picasa pics with a title please, so they can be discussed and commented on and people will know what pictures are being talked about?

Craster, I think it would be best that Picasa pics will be linked to once the poll is set, simply called picture A, picture B, etc.

People can talk about them all they want once the deadline has come and the poll is up. Does that sound OK At the moment Picasa is simply a storage device to allow anonymous uploads until the poll is set in action.
