No. One of the classes can heal the others. With guns.

Oh - except you can duel each other in a consensual way. I found this out when I agreed to duel Dave and he pounded me into putty with his mighty fists.

You should've seen the me/perkies duels, Where I was 12 odd levels above him. It was over almost as soon as it began.

The fact that you start a duel with a melee attack makes things a little biased towards Brick, don't you think?

That only helps if one player can run faster than the other.

I have an excellent revolver on my hunter now, and it does more damage than my sniper rifle and has the same zoom. Only holds 2 in each magazine, unfortunately, but it's mightily fun popping heads off with electricity.

I'm a huge fan of the soldier's magazine size boost skill, because getting those 2 shot guns up to 3 shot really does make a difference.

My corrosive revolver utterly destroys the plebs hanging around Old Haven now. So much fun stalking them with that.

Rarer than rocking horse shit.

After a trudge around town I finally found a copy in HMV.

This better not be shite.

If anyone else wants a copy, I have a spare I can sell you for £29 delivered save fucking about sending it back to The Hut, the useless cretins*.

* ordered it last Thursday, with the expected despatch date of Friday. Come Saturday when expecting to play it, it was still sitting in their warehouse. Try to cancel it, after buying a copy from Game, and I get an email a day later saying it's being processed and cannot be cancelled. Game is sent out on Monday morning, and only now has it bothered turning up.

If you have the receipt, i'd take the hut copy back to GAME, or are they shite on returns now? I haven't bought anything from GAME for ages.

I'm not sure what their returns policy is these days. I can certainly try, if I can find the receipt. Even if I exchange it for something else, really, I'll be reasonably happy, but I'd prefer cash.

Found the receipt, and it mentions at the bottom that Game have a "Return unopened within 28 days for your money back." policy. So, erm, the offer's gone, sorry.

Borderlands is going to keep me going for yonks. I'll be avoiding CoD6 until its on offer somewhere.

I want to play playthrough 2 and I want to start over with other characters. For such a shameless grind mechanism (hence Dimmers love  ) the game's raw shooter mechanisms are superb.

I love it.

Good point, the zones are a bit teeny.

Saying that maybe a big sprwaling oblivion style place would make the game a drag.

The relatively small areas at least make it zippy and fun. A bit more variety would be good though.

I hope they address this through DLC or a proper supah boffo expansion.

It's Zombies the first one Mr Dimmers.

How could you say no‽

Going to wait on the DLC myself, to see what there plans are. A GoTY copy seems possible if they pump a lot out.

Ooooh yes. This is a good game.

Went with the hunter out of the four choices as he seems pretty well balanced with long range and short range attacks, and not forgetting his shitehawk.

Yes. Early days but yes.

Bone Head is a twat.

Need to level up a wee bit I think, currently at 7.

Also: Do you just drop older shitty weapons or is there anywhere to sell/trade them?

If you've got as far as Bonehead, the weapon shop should be open in Firestone. In fact, even if it isn't, you can sell them at the medical station you repaired.

Ta.

Yeah it's open, I couldn't see the 'sell shit' option anywhere. It was late and my eyes were tired though.

Don't face Bonehead until you're level 10 or so or you'll have a rough time of it. Go and do all the other quests first.

It's highly annoying on the quests where you have to collect 5 thingies or whatever, that the sequence of waypoints seems designed to make you run to-and-fro across the map half a dozen times.

:this:

I wish it would just show them all, and I wish you could track multiple quests at once — I don't care if it'd make the compass slightly confusing.

It's pretty good, but I'm yet to play it in anything other than co-op or single player. I need 4-player action — everyone who has done so seems to think it's excellent.

Oh yeah, I do. I always forget co-op doesn't mean '2-player.' I've only played it offline split-screen with Miss Malabar.

No. While it's very good, the co-op thing only works if you make a determined effort to start and playthrough the whole game with the same people, never playing it alone or with anyone else, as the game complains really badly if you go taking your character off to join someone else's game who's further along (or behind) than you in the story.

It's one of those things that's great if you can arrange it all, but it's really tricky to arrange.

Fallout 3 had no co-op whatsoever, of course.

I really, really hope they release an update that provides a "roll your own" character build just for co-op. Churn me a level 15 character, all skill points unallocated and with a reasonable amount of cash in my pocket, job done!

Exactly - they're identical apart from skill points and equipment. Let me allocate my skill points how I want them, and give me enough that I can buy a few decent guns. That's all you need for in-out play.
